September 17, 200519 yr I love Van Der Saar and I was suprised noone would prise him from Fulham when he was there. He's just maginificent between the sticks and it's about time Manyoo (or Arsenal) grew some brains and just bought a good keeper. And we're the home team Manyoo are in form, attack and defence, but they drew with Man City. If you look at our record we have a condeded nothing as well. Just that we haven't scored much 0-0 ain't optimistic, and I think we can dominate proceedings. If we;re lucky we'll turn that into a goal.
September 18, 200519 yr Congrats man! 0-0, as you predicted! Valencia - Depor was an ugly match. Much more fighting than game-play.
September 18, 200519 yr It was a good point, though we played very defensively. We should've played Cisse and Crouch up front in my opinion. We were to slow to support Crouch, who did a great job by himself And I loved it when Rio blew up in Crouch's face because he couldn't win the aerial battles I'm sad Valencia didn't win, but I saw Miguel's goal, and that was awesome! How was Barca - Atletico? Also, who should I get on the back of my Valencia jersey? Aimar or Vicente?
September 18, 200519 yr It's hard to win a championship being defensive everytime and all the time. And I heard that 'pool wants to win this year.Barca - Atletico is on right now. 1-1 at 33:30, 1st half.Mendieta. Or Aimar. He was good yesterday, alone in the team.
September 19, 200519 yr Seriously, there was no way we'd even be in contention for the EPL this year. We've dropped 6 points this season already, and we're losing a point per game to Chelsea already, the same rate as last season. We can only hope to close the gap and come third or something Barca didn't win either? What the hell is happening And Chelesa is in for Kompany, does that mean Barca might be getting Gallas in January? That's be good for your defence I think I'll go for Aimar then. I never followed them when Mendieta was there. I'm a new Valencia supporter

I'm a new Valencia supporter <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Gallas claimed that he might buy himself out of his Chelsea contract. he made this assertion after negotiations for his new contract broke down. it appears that he will most probably be leaving Chelsea because they won't give him a 'super contract' and Mourinho kept playing him out of position last season.
September 19, 200519 yr I heard about that, so maybe Chelsea are prepared to cash in before he buys his contract out. He deserves more than that for staying with Chelsea for so long. I like him better than Carvalho.

I like him better than Carvalho.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>dunno . . . i thought that he was gonna buy out his contract so that he has a choice of where to go. teams won't put in big bids if there is a chance of him buying out his contract. chelsea i don't think would be too bothered about selling him quick 'cos they want him to stay, they would get a reasonable about of money anyway from him anyway (if he buys out his contract) and they have enough money already (look how much they lost on Mutu by sacking him).

His feet stick out the bed! Peter Crouch!

September 19, 200519 yr By the way, Spurs are really gunning it this season. Pity they drew with Villa <_< I'm watching Spurs' results closely though... they have a really really really good team. I was telling all my friends but they said I was an idiot... WHO'S LAUGHING NOW BIATCH!!!
September 20, 200519 yr By the way, Spurs are really gunning it this season. Pity they drew with Villa <_<I'm watching Spurs' results closely though... they have a really really really good team. I was telling all my friends but they said I was an idiot... WHO'S LAUGHING NOW BIATCH!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yep, Spurs have a strong squad this season and, in my opinion, a great manager in Martin Jol. we haven't been amazing so far this season but when Mido gets back from his suspension and everyone is fit we should be a pretty mean force . . . hopefully.
September 20, 200519 yr I think Jol has turned things upside down at Tottenham, and all they need is some experience. In a few years you'll reap the rewards for sure!I love the line-up... and also, in a few years we'll be watching Aaron Lennon (Y)
September 22, 200519 yr neither can I... did you watch the match. What happened? Was it a B team? Man City lost as well. This be the week of upsets. Milan and Inter lost. Real and Barca lost. And today, Valencia drew with Barca...lucky Catalans, they won't be so lucky next time. Feel the wrath of Valencia
September 22, 200519 yr Spurs practically put out their first team but just didn't seem to have any drive or motivation and they just bumbled round the pitch as if it was a given that they would win. i am happier now that Man City are out. i comforts me a little bit . . .
September 22, 200519 yr hmmm... that is a problem. It is harder to motivate yourself for earlier ties in a league cup. You want to be playing some of the best, so playing Grimsby doesn't really inspire much enthusiasm. But I guess on the same noite, you have to be professional about what you do and treat every game the same.
September 24, 200519 yr BIRMINGHAM 2-2 LIVERPOOL Games: 5 Wins: 1 Draws: 4 Losses: 0 GF: 3 GA: 2 GD: 1 Points: 7 HORRIBLE!!!! AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
September 24, 200519 yr Also of note, Chelsea let in their first goal of the season, but overcame Aston Villa 2-1 with a Lampard brace Manyoo lost 2-1 to Blackburn with Gamst Pedersen scoring a fluke and a stunner Arsenal were held 0-0 by Hammers and Charlton kept their winning streak going with a Danny Murphy brace. This means Chelsea have collected max points from their 7 games and lead the 2nd placed Charlton by 6 points, but the Addicks have a game in hand. They lead Manyoo, Arsenal and Liverpool by 10, 11 and 14 points respectively. Who'd ever think the premiership would be decided so early? There's been no competition Maybe Chelsea can field their reserves squad to make things slightly more interesting.
September 24, 200519 yr Maybe Chelsea can field their reserves squad to make things slightly more interesting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Based on todays match, that could be Cudicini Bridge - Johnson - Del Horno - Huth Cole - Geremi - Wright-Phillips - Diarra Drogba - Gudjohnsen (or a little worse if you count the bench as A squad)
