Hanis Hussey, born Hanis Saini, was only 16 when she won a contest called Catwalk Model of the Year Singapore in 1982. She moved to Paris the following year and clinched a two-year Yves Saint Laurent contract at her first casting. She was the first Singaporean model to break into the world of high fashion in Paris when she closed the Yves Saint Laurent show in 1983.
Hussey has worked with some of the world’s leading fashion designers, including Givenchy, Balmain, Ungaro, Christian Dior, Valentino, Gianni Versace and many more.

@danny-19 I have been a fan of Hanis, Nora Ariffin, Ethel Fong-Chalopin and Pat Kraal (all Singapore’s top models from the 80’s) since I was a teenager. I have tonnes of their past work and will share them on Bellazon. 💖
