While Family Guy does best with its kind of humor, by far The Simpsons is the winner here,

as some noted here there is a reason its been on since 1989. They do funny without trying to

be to over the top and certainly always have a way of keeping obscure pop-culture references

or subtle background gags in every show, the winner now and as i see it for a long time coming.

    imo Simpsons kind of plays it safe, while FG uses more extremity (the post above illustrates), Simpsons is constantly average, while Family Guy has HIGHS and lows, I prefer FG, it has way more memorable scenes and quotes
