I think that some people in france may not like another country and be a little intolerant for some reason...but those people are stupid... and unfortunately there's stupid people everywhere, so I guess that's not a typical french thing plus, I only heard good comments about Australia...some of my friends dream about going to Australia someday, it's like at the end of the world for us... it's a beautiful country, and people have reputation to be nice ....so don't worry about that ! anyways, good luck in your learning of the french...
