Speaking of 1989, here are a couple of models. The first one looks very familiar, but I'm not coming up with her name. The second reminds me of Susan Walters, but I don't know if that is possible.

It looks like the book was originally published in 1980, but this edition is from 1981. So def not Turlington. There is an online copy at the Internet Archive, but I don't see any credit for the cover model.
