About Mugler: She says she signed the contract recently and it will be shot in Poland in two weeks (from when the podcast was recorded), shooting takes 5 days. So she'll be shooting it in a few days probably? 2 weeks from them are over by now. Or maybe she did shoot it while she was quiet on insta? She also says "maybe you can cut that cut that out later", I hope it's okay to even discuss it here then. Also, LOL about the bit on Chandler. She says he's an asshole (literally, it's peeped out) and the best part about the relationship was getting to know Dirk Nowitzki.

More from the podcast. (More or less from where I stopped translating the last part. Trying to do it as literally as possible now) On Africa, her friends, and on where she lives Toni: I've always had godchildren in Africa with Plan International, as soon as I started working I had godchildren there. Interviewer: Because you thought it was important? T: Yes...I think, honestly, my mom just gave me the contract and said: You're 14, or 15, and you earn money, you can give 20 Euros a month to other girls who don't have it as easy. And I was like: Okay, cool. Then I had 4 godchildren eventually, and I started doing more and more with them every year, and then I wanted...I actually don't really know how it all came along, I don't know if I wanted to travel to Africa or if I wanted to raise funds...I did my first collaboration with Closed, they're also from Hamburg, where they didn't keep any money for themselves and I didn't either, and they promised to donate 100 000 to Burkina Faso, to a Plan International project for women, children, and girls. That was my first big, real trip to the Subsahara area with an organization. And ever since, I cannot not go there. I think it was also the most intense trip, it was a month before Ebola started spreading there, then there was a government coup shortly after, our hotel was burnt down a couple months later. So....I've done several trips by now, I could talk about them for hours... I: You're there, like, twice a year? T: Around twice a year, yes. I: And you're still in Rwanda etc., you just told me? T: Yes, but they're stable. Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi... everybody says Burundi is dangerous though... I: And what exactly are you doing there? T: Support women. In Ghana, I found a libanese sponsor, they built a hostel there so that women can live where there school is. That's also our main focus. I learned a lot through Plan; I did 3 or 4 trips with Plan, you're always in the car with locals. Plan has a lot of employers and contributors per country, all locals, and they tell you in the car: Here, this and that is the problem; there, this and that is the problem. You just learn a lot when you're there. And I realized - or: they told me - that the main problem in Africa are the distances, the kids often have to walk for school two to four hours a day, the girls often don't have shoes, it's dark, the streets are a problem, they get run over a lot, and therefore it's one of the best ways to support women to build hostels right next to schools. I've done that several times now, I did it in Simbabwe with 2 hostels... I: So that means: You give them the money for it? T: I either give them the money or find sponsors you can bulid it for me. I: How expensive is it to build a hostel? T: Depends on the country. In Simbabwe, around 60 000 or 70 000... I: And so you give them the money from your private bank account? T: No, I spend a lot of time at fundraiser events. I pay for my own travels, for my own team, and I decline a lot of model jobs so I can do fundraisers and travel to Africa...so that's my personal involvement. I: So, just to understand your...career planning a little better, so you get up in the morning and check whether a big client wants to book you, and if not you just do something else? T: No...my day is actually....I'd say I know a week in advance what I'm going to do. So right now, I know what I'm going to do until July 8. Afterwards....I don't know, maybe I have to move to Australia for 6 months for a movie, I have no idea. [I think Australia was just a random example here.] I never know. I have stuff with me for 2 months right now, because I know I won't be going home to New York anytime soon. But that's just because I love spending my summers in Europe. I don't like being in the US in the summer. I: Why? T: Because the Mediterranean is just way more beautiful. I grew up in Greece and I love Greece, so I'm often in Greece. But anyway...I don't ever really know what's going to happen next...I mean, I did know this morning that I was going to come here, then there's an event tonight, I knew I wouldn't be able to work out for the next three days, because I have to go to Sweden tomorrow for one day. I: What's in Sweden? T: Uhm...some Elle cover. I don't know which one. French or Spanish or ... I don't really know. Uhm... I: [laughing] okay T: There are so many. ... But I knew I wanted to work out this morning, so I set an alarm clock and went for an hour long run, because I know I'm not going to be able to work out in the next 3 days. I: You woke up in Berlin today and then came to Hamburg by train? T: No, I woke up here, my family lives here. I stay at an aunt's. Mom and Dad don't really have a home here, so I sleep at my aunt's. I don't even have a key, they have to leave the backdoor open, I love it. I: Where does your aunt live exactly? T: Everyone's in Olstedt. Everyone's in the north, that's also where I went to school. I: Do you still have old friends from back then? T: Sure! My birthday's coming up in two weeks, there will be a lot of my girls at the party. I: From your time in Olstedt? T: Exactly. We're 6 girls, two in London, two in Berlin and two in Hamburg. I: Okay, but they are not in the fashion business? T: Zero, Nobody. I don't really have good.... well, out of my bestbestbest friends, nobody is in the fashion industry. My absolute best friend is in Online Marketing Sales in New YOrk, I've known her since I was 4, from Greece. And my other best friend is an emergency room doctor in LA. I: So how did you two get to know each other? T: Through another model I used to live with when I was 16. We all did Calvin Klein together. We were 4 girls and did CK for 2 years, that often means: You're a fitting model and you fit clothes from 7am to 2am. And so you automatically become friends with the other girls. So I lived with this other girl, my first apartment in NYC, and her sister was very good friends with this other girl. All of them are ex mormons, from Utah. We've been friends since. I: But now you live alone in New York? T: Yes...I bought an apartment there 3 years ago, my first one alone. I love living with people, but .... I: And how often are you there then? T: My mom told me yesterday that I was there for 30 days total so far this year and asked me why I have it at all....I'm not there very often, unfortunately. I: Because you're always traveling T: Because I'm always traveling, because I do a lot of acting, so I'm in LA a lot, I was just looking for an agency there and had to spend a lot of time there. My whole family and many of my friends are in Europe, and almost all of my jobs as well. I don't really work a lot in New York. A lot of my New York clients fly me to Miami or the Caribbean or to Spain, they don't always shoot in New York. So...I don't spend a lot of time there, I'm not sure how long I'll still be living there to be honest. I: And otherwise you'd move to LA? T: No, I just bought something in Berlin. But probably not as my main apartment. I don't know if I could ever move back to Germany, I'm not German enough. I: But your boyfriend is...also an actor, right? T: Uhm...yes. I'll leave it there for now, with this teaser about men, haha. Lots of interesting stuff so far. Don't know if Alina and her other model friends would be amused if they heard her talk about how she has basically no model friends. Also, I find it almost shocking that she doesn't remember which Elle cover she is shooting! And it's interesting that she's bought something in Berlin already, and still considers leaving New York.

Okay, I listened to the first 15 minutes at least, quick summary: - It was recorded in Hamburg in the week after she was at the Zegna show (when she was in Hamburg recently) - She says she's very nervous at the beginning, because it's all about her voice and how she speaks, not something she is used to. - the guy asks her a lot about how much money she earns, but she doesn't really want to say (understandably so), but she says it is a lot, on the other hand she does a lot of editorial stuff for free in order to book better jobs. Somethings she doesn't earn anything for a month, sometimes it's a lot of money every other day. - They talk about how she was discovered, nothing really new here. She says she didn't know how the fashion world works and only slowly understood what it all meant, agents had to talk her into doing Vogue shoots, she wanted to do a math exam instead etc. (But we've heard most of that before.) - Then they talk a lot about social media, most interesting part so far. She says she switched from Blackberry to Iphone only because of Instagram, but still prefers Blackberry. Mainly because when she's in Hair & Makeup, she could still write emails with the blackberry without touching it (I don't know how this really works?), nowadays with the Iphone she has to dictate her emails and everybody can listen. She also says she has an app that limits her social media time. She doesn't really want to do a lot of Instagram, nor hire a personal photographer to follow her around and take pictures like others do. At the same time she knows she should do more and she knows that her content is not as good as other people's sometimes, but she doesn't want to take selfies all day or destroy moments with her friends by taking pictures all the time. The only time she's really interested and passionate about Instagram is when she wants to raise funds for Africa. On her field trips, they always travel with photographers so they have professional material for fundraisers afterwards and she spends a lot of time on Social Media when she comes back from day trips in Africa (if there is any internet connection at all). She also talked a little about sitting Front Row at Zegna and says she earns as much or more money just sitting there as she would earn walking - but she claims she'd rather walk than sit Front Row, but the fashion world has changed. That's it so far...I really like her in this podcast, it was more interesting than the normal stupid interviews she has to do, and she seems very sweet in this. Also, I have to say I appreciate her Instagram precisely because it is authentic and funny and doesn't have a lot of polished content - actually the polished, photoshopped pictures she sometimes posts for clients are the ones I enjoy the least.

Just found this: https://www.hvtonline.de/tracks/bm There will be a horse race that has her name in the title on Sunday in Berlin. I'm not very familiar with horse races, but she's not the only celeb who 'has' a race there, I don't know what it means though - is she sponsoring something? Will she be there? It's also her birthday on Sunday - I can personally confirm birthdays at Berlin horse races are super fun. 😎

@kissnena Absolutely no idea. Mimic Production is "a 3D Animation and Motion Capture studio focusing on high-quality, photo-realistic digital doubles and 3D characters", according to their instagram, and she herself said it was animation day. But I still don't have any clue at all.

It doesn't sound or look like it @kissnena The hair also looks very editorial, I was really surprised before she started posting the throwbacks, because I thought it was H&M and was like: Wow, the hair person did an especially bad job today. I'd guess she's shooting with Andreas Sjodin, which is great, and possibly even for Vogue Paris, which would be even greater, but I don't want to get my hopes up on that. But Sjodin per se is exciting news. Edit: Probably Elle Italia?

@kissnena Any idea what she could have shot today? She tagged Messika, but she also wrote about changing all day long, would you have to do that for a jewelry shoot? Also, do you think it was the only thing she shot in London or do you think there was something else we don't know anything about?

@kissnena I'm not sure, but I would guess it's new from today? My initial thought was that she might be shooting a Resort lookbook, something similar to the lookbook for Alexandre Vauthier she shot in Paris a couple of years ago. It would explain the "soooooon". But I really don't know. What do you think?

Very glad she wasn't a part of the GNTM finale, the show was such a cringy mess. 😂😂- Toni Garrn
Just a wild guess, but tonight is the GNTM finale show live from Cologne, including Tyra Banks, Taylor Swift, and I'm sure many more. I don't know if Heidi has announced all the guests yet (from what I gather she's announcend somebody new every other day or so, but I didn't follow it closely), but I know that some other jurors of the season will be back for the finale, so maybe Toni will be there too? She's in Germany, has been very quiet about what she's doing these last couple days and it's something you wouldn't be able to postpone or plan around the amfAR (whereas with something like the Schwarzkopf shoot two days ago, I'd assume it would be possible to plan in a way that makes sure she can attend amfAR). Just speculating here, but still...- Toni Garrn
I prefer work over amfar (as long as it's not another 30 seconds role in some random film). And woah at that 2006 picture. It's crazy how young she was and looked when she first started out. Her face has really changed a lot (more than for example Gemma's).- Toni Garrn
I love the outfit she wore to the Women in Motion awards, but the top bustier part doesn't really fit that well, too tight under her arms. Also, I love the Sergeenko costum couture outfit and found it very interesting to read Amarsana's insta post about how it all came together. I just wish she would stop doing that stupid victory sign on the carpet. We see it in almost every set of pics we get, and it just looks dumb in my opinion and reads "help, I don't know what to do on the red carpet" to me. She tagged Vogue Paris in one of her Cannes posts, which makes me really excited. Maybe they'll do something like a Behind The Scenes feature with her?- Toni Garrn
Looking good as far as I can tell. That day outfit on the other hand...if this is how she dresses when her stylist is literally next to her, she really is a hopeless case. (But I guess we knew that already.) - Toni Garrn
