I know I'm late for the party but is he hella hot or what!?? 😱
Just started with
and he's driving me nuts. The hair? The tallness? The blonde? The baby blue eyes? THE VOICE???
If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it's from the author of Normal People @Lilja K She's so good in writing interesting multi-layered characters with whom you feel so much empathy despite all flaws. I was so moved and ordered the book asap.
Glad he survived the swifties mob after the break up. Also LOVE his decent one and only comment about their break up. Probably for the first time in my life I envy Taylor and wonder at the same time how she got from him to the massive downgrade of this famewhore Travis 🤣

Joseph Matthew Alwyn (born 21 February 1991) is an English actor. Alwyn made his feature film debut as the titular character in Ang Lee's 2016 war drama Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk and has since played roles in films such as The Favourite (2018), Boy Erased (2018), Mary Queen of Scots (2018), and Harriet (2019). In 2022, he starred in the Hulu drama series Conversations with Friends and the period comedy film Catherine Called Birdy.
Born in Kent and raised in North London, Alwyn developed an interest in acting during his teenage years. He acted in student productions at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and obtained BA degrees in English literature and drama, and acting, from the University of Bristol (2012), and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (2015), respectively.
Alwyn dated American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift for six years. He worked with Swift on ten of her songs released from 2020 to 2022, including "Exile" and "Betty" from Swift's eighth studio album, Folklore, which won the Album of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. He won a Trophée Chopard at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival and appeared on the 2022 Time 100 Next list of rising stars.
Personal life
Alwyn was in a relationship with Taylor Swift from 2016 to 2023. It was subject to intense tabloid scrutiny. On their breakup and the publicity surrounding it, Alwyn said in 2024: "I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six and a half years. That is a hard thing to navigate. What is unusual and abnormal in this situation is that, one week later, it's suddenly in the public domain and the outside world is able to weigh in ... There is always going to be a gap between what is known and what is said. I have made my peace with that". Swift references her breakup with Alwyn on her eleventh album The Tortured Poets Department (2024).

Phoenix sabotaging his own career once again.
‘Joker 2' Pulled From NYFF?
Next month, Todd Phillips’ “Joker: Folie a Deux” will premiere at the Venice Film Festival. It’s not screening anywhere else except, maybe, the New York Film Festival.
I’m being told that ‘Folie a Deux’ was supposed to be included in the Spotlight section at NYFF but has been “put on hold” and is now a question mark. We’ll see if it gets announced soon, but the crux of the matter has to do with star Joaquin Phoenix’s recent controversy.
Last week, Phoenix walked out of Todd Haynes and producer Christine Vachon’s next film as it was starting production. The project has been shut down and will not be happening. Haynes and Vachon are very well liked by NYFF, and it doesn’t surprise me one bit that the film has been pulled out of the lineup.
Another possibility could be that Warner Bros just doesn’t want Phoenix to do any other press beyond Venice. Can you just imagine how insane the ‘Folie a Deux’ press conference is going to be at Venice? I just cringe thinking about it. Phoenix is already an awkward interview, and then adding all of this Haynes/Vachon controversy is a recipe for disaster. As it stands, Venice is the only scheduled event for Phoenix.
At the moment, Vachon and her producing partners are discussing next steps. They might be suing Phoenix for breach of contract, or it all could just end with the actor paying back financiers (and crewmembers). He might have to dish out a check in the seven figures.
Vachon has called the whole situation a “nightmare. Re-casting Phoenix in the lead role is not an option, unless Brad Pitt suddenly becomes available. Given Phoenix’s unique box office appeal, thanks to ‘Joker,’ and his arthouse credentials, it would be all but impossible to recast the actor for a role that calls for “full-frontal and explicit gay sex.”
This has led to what THR has described as a “huge amount of outrage” in Hollywood, with many producers swearing to never work with Phoenix again.
