Cintia’s case is a tragedy. She was so perfect and loved in the industry but VS never gave her a chance. All the times they rejected her at castings smh -
I knew I missed the memo somehow. This is really messed up mann. There’s no silver lining here. She’s coming off very ungrateful and as a fan I’m really disappointed. VS gave her everything so if this is actually about them which I doubt, she shouldn’t have spat on their face like this. Here I thought she’d go down as the greatest VS model in history.

She was already huge before social media so she would have been abled to maintain a steady stream of work. I think the rules are different for the 90s/early 2000s models. There are lots of them working without social media. Some just have it because it’s a requirement but they don’t even have that many followers and are still getting jobs

Lol why are people fuming like this? If she doesn’t want to do it, good for her. Obviously she isn’t the most eloquent woman out there but I think what she means is, she won’t be doing nude shoot just for the sake of it. I too suspect it’s the LOVE videos she was referring to. Those videos are truly baseles no matter how much I enjoy them, they’re “empty” and not even actual work, showing off your physique and licking your lips or slapping your ass isn’t work especially if it isn’t for an ad or ed. I can see what she’s trying to say especially the main purpose those videos serve is just to be posted on social media. Anyway she doesn’t need to do nudes and it won’t affect her career (although I’m not expecting a Love cover anytime soon ?). She didn’t even say she will stop taking off her clothes forever, just when it feels like a nonevent. And I get that. Also, nudity doesn’t automatically equate overly sexy as we see with the current VS. Their models are in lingerie but are not as suggestive and blantant as you’d see naked models in Vogue Italia.

That useless Kung Fu segment was a waste of precious TV time. Sara should consider herself lucky. PS I can’t forgive you guys for trying to ruin the good sis Candice for me. I turned a blind eye to most of her past behavior and just focused on her beauty and body: I think her and Adriana are good now. She probably felt threatened as she should have ?. Also, what do you guys think of Adriana and Rosie. I mean I guess it’s possible for them to be just indifferent with each other but I can’t help but notice that they don’t follow each other on ig (or maybe they are and. I just missed it?) I just can’t understand how world famous models who have worked together for at least two years don’t follow each other. You have to be actively avoiding each other. I just noticed because Rosie is really active on IG and she usually like pictures of most models. Also, I've always felt an unspoken tension between Miranda and Adriana. I’m obviously an Adriana fan but she just doesn’t strike me as one who’s into petty jealousy with coworkers. The Angels (past and present) she’s closest to all show a quality of humility and kindness towards other models. That’s quite telling.

Kaia please when VS offers you a contract, burn the papers! I won’t be able to stand seeing such a fierce kid being reduced down to a ditzy Angel by VS. And my heart won’t take it if they have to edit her power walk in the show. Im sure she’s going to be too big for them by the time she’s 18 so she might limit herself to just doing the show.

That picture such a beautiful and memorable moment. Alessandra is really gonna be missed and it is evident in the picture that the girls have enough love and respect for her. I always thought those 3 girls were the ones she’s closest to in the lineup. Ale has never looked bad in any VS show no matter how bad the outfit/hair/makeup might be in any given year. She had a good run and I have a feeling she is going to continue being in the modeling scene for quite a while.

Jo’s body is her main selling point. Her butt is sublime! But as a model, your face is that center of your career. Speaking of bodies, Candice’s has changed drastically. Her body before the baby was hands down the best thing I’ve ever seen but I really thought she’d look exactly the same this year afte skipping last year’s show. She had more than enough time but I guess people are different. It took Adriana quite the time to get back in shape but I think it’s taking Candice longer. Lily’s body became better after her baby and it took her no time to get back in shape. Bless

Oh yea I forgot the show had fewer models back then. However, by 2003, Naomi was a household name and was as famous as any actress. Gisele basically had the fashion world at her fingertips and was making waves even outside of fashion and Karolina was dominating literally everything in the fashion industry! She was huge! Heidi and Tyra as we all know were commercially two of the most successful models in the world. Adriana was still building her place in the industry but she had instant face recognition as a VS girl. Ale was right behind her. I can’t remember the other models in the show but most of them were established models who were on the fashion map. That’s the beauty of the 2003 show the models were big at the time and still awestrike you in retrospect. I simply can’t say the same for the models they have now.

I hate myself for comparing but it’s so hard. I saw a video of the first segment of the 2003 show on ig and I was overwhelmed by how strong, beautiful and powerful the models looked and were back then. It wasn’t my first time watching it but it’s still a sharp reminder. I mean you had Alessandra coming out and before you know it Naomi was somewhere behind her, Karolina was coming so was Adriana and Gisele. The line up was outrageous. VS truly has fallen from grace. Those girls were, and are still the biggest models on the planet and it was VS who made them or helped made them. The contrast now and then is staggering! I literally don’t know 95% of the girls this year and the only models they have that are major are Adriana (and she’s a product of the early 2000s). Candice is major too but she’s also from 2009/10. Ale is gone. Taylor Hill is...kinda getting there. That’s it. Kendall, Gigi and Bella are huge but they do not for a second remind me of strength and power. Their trademark is instagram and you can barely see them on the show. Plus they’re not as influential as their socials would have you believe. The show is still taking.

I just made time to watch the show and before I say anything more, I just want to say that, VS didn’t do Ale dirty as much as people on here made it out to be. It was really clear that it was her last show and it was mentioned several times. I was really surprised about how many times her leaving was referenced. They even said that it was her last walk when she was closing the segment. Sure it would have been nice to give her a segment or not change the order of the segments so she would close the show but we all know VS never really went all out with Ale. Tbh I don’t have any problems with how they handled her departure now that I’ve watched the show. Also, why were people hyping Candice’s opening? It was so normal? Her 2013 opening imo is far better and energetic. The only difference is, they actually got the editing right this time. You guys, Ming’s fall broke my heart so much. I had to take a moment. The model that helped her up is such a fucking professional, I honestly wouldn’t have known what to do. She really was gracious. I respect Ming for keeping the smile on her face and making her way to the end of the runway. Lily also comforting her made me tear up. I couldn’t take it when I saw her crying. VS shouldn’t have focused on the fall so much and at such an unflattering angle. I love what Leslie had to say about it and how everyone involved was so supportive and professional. It really broke my heart. That was the only part of the show that really captivated me. I guess the music was cool and I’ve long since gave up on their editing skills. Just enjoy the music and the girls. We’re not going to see their catwalks.VS is never going to be as magical as it once was and I think someone mentioned telling the girls to be relatable was the death of the show. Humans indeed want fantasy. We just do. I want to see something that will mesmerize me, not what reminds me of a college girl. I’ve made my peace with the fact that the show has gone downhill and VS is too blind to see that they need to let the old farts making these stupid decisions go. Josephine seems like such a lovely girl but damn after watching the show, I see what y’all were talking about her walk. Nagl. Those wings brought her down! I’m also always amazed by how her face looks perpetually poofy. Girl looks too old for her age and I sincerely don’t see the fascination VS sees in her. I just don’t. She’s great but come on. They can’t seriously be serious about her being the new IT girl. Taylor Hill is so lifeless on the runway. I see that hasn’t changed. About Adriana being VS, that obviously isn’t accurate, never was. VS has never been built around one model. The whole thing they’re trying to sell is the Angels, not one individual model. They dropped Gisele like a hot potato when she asked for more money and it didn’t hurt them one bit. Heidi and Tyra’s departure didn’t make a difference so why should Adriana’s? I mean, I understand that she literally has no competition (the only one she has is Candice and that’s even a far cry) so I can see why people still put her on such high pedestals. The new angels are doing well but I mean, they just can’t skyrocket to superstardom for some reason. I don’t blame them, some people just glide through life and Adriana is just one of those people. She’s always been the angel the tried the least yet still she remains the crowd pleaser. The only pic she posted on the day of the show got 1.1 million likes, that’s like beyond what the others gathered and the pic isn’t even that good . The draw of audience she brings for the brand is undisputed so that’s why I’ll never dismiss people who just can’t see VS without her. When Heidi was in her 30s, no one was checking for her. People are still crazy about Adriana more than the rest no matter how much VS tries to change the conversation.

I sincerely hope Ale fans don’t let this go. Take to VS and Ed’s social media accounts and speak your mind about how outrageous what they did to Ale is. It’s truly pathetic. I really thought Ale was gonna have this after how they’ve treated her like the step sister all these years. Seriously we have to let them know. Alexsandra is one of their top 5 most iconic Angels ever and this is truly an insult.

Bummer ?. Amazing how VS is more a mess this year than usual. Didn’t think they had it in them. Adriana refuses to leave so we have a few more years of such disappointments. I want to count on the editing but I know better.

What happened to Jo? Did she trip or was her walk a bit awkward due to the wings? That’d be a shame because she has such a great walk. I don’t blame her for not saying anything because these girls are expected to act all peachy with anything VS throws at them. I for the life of me can’t understand how Adriana can swoon over all her ugly outfits throughout the years and she’s their most influential Angel and has had a remarkable career with them and she can say no if she wanted but girl chooses to act all head over heels about all the monstrosities they commit against her. The only Angel I’m aware of who asked them to change her outfit is Lily and that was last year? She exercised some power and seniority right there and I have loads of respect for her.

^Same. I haven’t even gone through the pictures from the show and reading all the comments here because I’ve been really busy and I’ve honestly been so lazy to know the models. From what I’ve seen during casting, most of them are fillers and they’ll disappear off the radar after the show so why bother. Also, about blonde models looking alike, I’ve been religiously following models for years now, especially the VS girls and I can tell them apart even when they give their backs to the camera. But honestly even for someone with a trained eye like me, sometimes the blondes look so staggeringly similar. Just yesterday I saw a pic of Martha on ig and she looked so much like Elsa I had to savor the moment. And those two are girls that look nothing alike. But with the similar styling and all, they kinda blend into each other sometimes. Even with Candice and Romee, I used to roll my eyes when people would say they’re look alikes but I honestly see it now. Not all blonde models look alike because someone like Constance J and Doutzen have distinctive looks and many more have different attitudes and slightly different body types so it wouldn’t hurt if VS stopped cloning. i don’t know most of the black girls this year but the ones I’ve seen all look different ?

MTE. And tbh the outfits aren’t even bad, it’s the stupid makeup. She needs to be bringing in her on makeup team. Obviously Adriana needs specific kind of makeup because even Ale who’s the same age always looks good. Adriana has such flawless skin but it’s like the makeup gods turn their backs on her once she steps foot on the VS runway
