Sports Illustrated, which attracts world interest with its babe-filled special edition, apparently sold the pictures to the German edition of Playboy - which has aroused the ire of the models involved. Klum's publicist says, "She was not consulted and she would not have agreed to this." Whilst Herzigova's agent, Bob Van Riper, vows, "I'm going to try and find out what happened." Czech supermodel Veronica Varekova is said to be "livid" after her swimsuit pictures appeared in her home country's edition of Playboy alongside nude shots. Faith Kate, president of Next Model Management, which represents Varekova, says, "I'm very concerned. We're working to get to the bottom of it in order to protect our talent." However, while a Sports Illustrated spokesperson claimed the Czech edition of Playboy had acted without their permission, they stated the models knew of the German deal. They said, "It's done on a contract basis. The models and their agents are consulted and they get their share. We have written permission from people who represent the models." Old news, but I still haven't seen the pics anywhere. How is that possible?
