Robin is getting the same treatment Nadine got year after year. I could not imagine shooting for VS regularly and then being rejected from the runway show year after year. I cannot believe they casted Winnie and Sadie over Robin or Blanca. I saw some fan accounts saying Toni G. was confirmed? Surely she would have confirmed herself?

Does anything else think the ‘’Model Squad” girls will get cast for publicity? Like Shanina might finally get cast again because she’s on a TV show? Which is silly because she’s STUNNING!

I agree wholeheartedly. I guess just being someone who's suffered body image issues myself as a result of Insta girls has me feeling this way! You are so right though, its just bras and bad editing ahah

Fair point. I just feel like instagram influencers are not models. They don't go through the trials a HF model would go through it's completely different to how a HF model comes up. It's all about your followers and not what you have to offer as a model. Again, just an opinion ...

It's cringeworthy for a show this big. They have the budget and the resources to create amazing couture but instead they just play it safe.

I do not like where VS is heading. Sounds like their marketing and production team have gotten so stale. They need new people and fresh ideas/outlooks. Instagram is the sole reason many girls struggle with body image and mental health. If VS casts a bunch of social media influencers THEY ARE CONDONING THIS BEHAVIOUR! And I'm mentally preparing myself for all the recycled wings and look concepts on the runway this year.

It's kind of sad to think hardly any of these girls will make it in! Looking at the pictures, most of these girls from the first round of castings are forgettable!!

I remember reading/hearing that the contracted Angels are the only ones who are technically "Paid" because they have contracts with Victoria's Secret. As far as I know the other models don't get handed a cheque to walk the show per say, they are well paid with exposure, flights, accommodation wherever the show is held, publicity, the countless goodies they receive etc. I could be wrong but that makes sense to me

I really hope the "Goddess" section is distinctly different from Gilded Angels. I loved the Gilded Angels section, I just think VS needs to find fresher idea's and better differentiate similar themes. And if they are going to do similar segments, spread them out more. I did not really like it when they did 'Ice Angels' two years after 'Snow Angels' and even recycled Adriana's wings on Romee. With their budget and team they should be able to make it different. In addition I think it's silly that VS is opening with a cultural themed section 2 years in a row ... not a good look. Porcelain angels better have some sort of actual porcelain in it. If it's all painted fabric and feathers it will be pretty lack luster. Winter's Tale is the segment I am most excited for. It seems like its gonna be very ethereal and have lots of couture elements! I'm also excited for Punk Angels as well!
