Honestly speaking, for angels, the only ones I do like are Josephine, Romee, Elsa, Lais & maybe Jasmine. The rest are meh, like Sara, and I definitely don't like Stella Martha is like an honorable mention for me, I admire her work for scoliosis awareness and I think she really puts in effort to being an angel. I remember hating on her when she became an angel by the end of 2014's fashion show, alongside Taylor and Stella. Honestly, I just want to see Martha get something worthwhile, then I'm willing to watch her go.

I'm sure she's done with the brand, but it seems like VS isn't cold hearted enough to sever ties with her. Speaking of which, Maroon 5's Girls Like You is a hit song in my country. I hear anymore of that song, Imma beat my radio up, that song is so annoying. Anything that is Adam Levine and Behati is annoying to me now, and that's because Bee's fans made it that way. The next would be Candice.

I'm working towards that goal, neither of them are even angels yet

As long as it ain't Candice or Bee, I'm good. I'll riot if it's either one of em. Candice and Bee fans are scary obsessive.

The only reason Adriana and Ale both had more than two FBs is because they've contributed immensely and became angels for 10 plus years. Candice's contract isn't 10 years old just yet. She's getting there, but she ain't there yet. We'll see what happens, but until then, there are other angels who deserve the FB more than Candice.

Another one? Please. Every year someone says she should get another one. Candice has had some of the best outfits, screen times, better looking FB, there's no need for another FB.

It's too soon for Josephine, besides, based on the past few FBs, its usually the quiet ones that get it.

One part of it is cultural preference, but the other 50-60% of it is really racism too. There's a reason why black/dark skinned famous figures always speak up about the lack of color. Which is why it's sad to see Jasmine being received with a "meh" attitude when she was in China. Some people genuinely like her, but it takes a person who can appreciate beauty regardless to like her.

Ming wants to focus more on high fashion rather than VS itself.

This has been said over and over again. Ming was offered an angel contract, but turned it down. She's got bigger plans, namely focusing on her HF career. Which is why I'm not surprised when Ming chose to be a sub-angel instead, because there's less commitment involved with VS. Sui and Ming are very much focused on expanding the fashion circle in China, and intends to stay that way.

I was gonna say Taylor too. Taylor is on the same level as Romee. I would say even though Taylor, Elsa, Romee, and Lily are all under the "kinda" category, they are positively received. As far as models go, China is quick to defend the statement that they prefer baby-faced models, especially with last year's castings rejecting so many beauties. Last year when someone read on BZ about our speculations, someone took it on to Weibo to share it and boy were they unhappy. I even remember people saying their beauty standards are different from what we perceive 😂. I really think it's just personal preference. Even though we're Asians, we have people who worship models like Kendull and the Hadids for being famous when they were famous. Same principle applies to them liking Candice, Bee and duo AA. It's like saying the whole world loves Michael Jackson and still does regardless if you know what I'm saying. That reminds me, Kate G is quite reasonably well loved even though she's no longer an angel. They also love Blanca and Barbara P. I think they generally like timeless beauties. Miranda, Kate G, Blanca, Barbs, are examples of how youthful they can look despite their age, whereas other models just look young.

Miranda yes. Lily and Romee are probably close to Elsa. People started noticing Romee since Goddesses last year, and Lily for her HF work rather than her VS performance.

China is in love with Candice, Behati, Josephine, and the duo AAs. To be honest, 50% of the China fans like what most fan accounts like - trendy stuffs. I can tell you how 30-40% of fans in China don't think Sui should walk VS because her beauty isn't the norm. People there pay attention to Ming now only because she's famous. Going by social media presence, Ming has towered over Liu and Sui. Ask a generic Chinese guy on the streets, they'd probably root for Liu Wen. There was this video where a guy went on to the streets and asked white people who they'd pick out of Ming, Liu and Sui. Liu and Ming were the popular ones while Sui was only picked by those who knew how to appreciate her pan-Asian features. I'm Chinese, but I'm not from China so I can't speak for all. But I like Pan-Asian guys more than I do ethnic guys. But when it comes to angels, I think the generic VS crowd loves the above mentioned names. Elsa is an honorable mention. The rest are dependent on their tastes. The worst angel that the China crowd would take, my guess is Stella/Sara. People there don't really like Martha, nor do they cheer excessively for Jasmine. Lais is the lucky one where people would look at her, appreciate her beauty, but wouldn't go crazy for just because Lais is dark skinned.

My point is, if this "country angel" goes well, expect more models to be elected angel at their respective regions/countries. I think think VS plans on doing that.

I've been seeing a couple of VS fan accounts quick to shoot down claims that Ming and Sui are angels and are only brand ambassadors . Do they even read what we discuss on VS, legit no one ever said these two were full-fledged angels and more likely to be sub-angels. They were called 大使, meaning ambassadors, but the words 天使 was also used to introduce the both of them. Here's an excerpt taken from both Ming and Sui's introduction. The sentences translates to.... Henceforth from this day, Ming/Sui are officially recognized as the brand ambassadors for Victoria's Secret in China. This year, she will be walking the Victoria's Secret 2018 fashion show (with a brand new title) as a Victoria's Secret China/Chinese (if you're a grammar nazi) Angel. The term angel is mentioned and them fan accounts think they know better just because they used google translate to understand the context. To the fan accounts reading, do your homework. It definitely ain't a full-fledged angel contract, but it sure as hell ain't simple as brand ambassadors. Don't be so quick to shoot down what VSChina said themselves. It's even worthwhile that you read about the theory of VS looking to elect sub-angels instead of full time angels moving forward.

Looking at the age of our angels, I noticed most of them are close to the age of 30, a few over 30, only a few who are honestly within what most people would consider the "perfect" age range for angels. Adriana is obviously, the eldest in the angel roster, followed by Lily A, Candice, Bee, Elsa. Then you have Martha, Stella, Lais all leading the newer waves of angel. Jasmine, Sara, Josephine, Romee, Taylor behind. Technically speaking... I don't mind seeing Adriana, Lily A, Candice & Bee go so that and Elsa can hold the seniority. Stella from the new wave can go because she just seems so meh. That brings us down to to 9 angels. Sub angels like Sui and Ming should be included separately, since there are rumors of VS opening a shop in Glasgow, there's a chance Alexina is going to be drafted as a sub angel too. I also have a feeling moving forward, VS intends to do something like sub angels, so that they have more spokesperson for the brand without having to commit to the responsibilities of managing an angel angel. It's a win-win situation for VS and the fans/public. VS gets the talent, the model gets the publicity, the fans/public support the model by splurging on VS.

I keep hearing people say Sui is too old to be angel. The funniest part is, Ming, Sui, Xiao are all the same age, with Ming being the eldest

Devon can say all she wants, she probably didn't mean it that way but when the word is out, it's hard to take it back. Side note, the Weibo drama is real, Sui's angel post is being targeted by Ming fans 😂

If the both of them appear on the all access, I think we can all safely conclude that a few angels off the roster are leaving, and I think Adriana, Bee, Stella's angel status are all in question. VS losing Adriana is a big slap to their face, but we'll see. Also yes, Josephine is in China with a few other angels, we'll see if it leads to anything.
