She feels the right to say something like that 'cause she "made it" but if I was a designer, a label or whatever I wouldn't wanna work with someone who can be all "yayyy I'm so happy for this job" and the next day "This sucks, so happy I'm not in it". It's her opinion, I get it and I could even agree with her, but that's her JOB. No wonders she deleted it. Her agents probably freaked out and ordered her to remove it. I get where you're coming from she's representing the brand, but it's different when you're walking a show and actually being a spokesperson for it. I think there's a rift between being an angel and doing catalogue, swim, and PR for the company and just walking in the show. Designer's have a certain vision in mind with what they want when a model is walking their show doesn't matter if she has a bad rap she's basically invisible it's the clothing that's supposed to shine, but if that designer were to choose to have that model represent their brand and do actual campaign's that's a different story all together.

I hope the Vets don't get all buddy buddy with Kendall and Gigi and leave them alone in the corner to play with their blocks. But I think that's just wishful thinking.

They have ten angels and an ambassador to promote, by inviting these two really popular models that are getting the gig mostly for the press, they are diminishing the work of all of their models who got there by working really really hard for years and not just for the 10 minutes their casting took. All the screen time these two will take, will be taken out of models who worked their ass off to get to where they are, that's just it.Kendall and Gigi won't get anymore screen time other than them walking up and down the runway and maybe a shot of them dancing backstage. Everyone will get their shine, and all the Angels will get even more when they're individually announced and honestly if they're intriguing enough they'll get the attention they deserve. It's a business, they gotta do what they gotta do. Yes there are girls I wish would've made the show instead but at the same time, I realize that Gigi and Kendall have a strong purpose for the show and it's a good and reasonable one at that. They even balanced it out by getting mostly irrelevants to walk. I think the new Angels will be fine tbh. They have way more things throughout the year to promote them and it takes years to really get known. One fashion show as an angel won't get you super known anyway. Gigi and Kendall already have the fame and press, they do not need to shine on every single show. The thing here is: they have 11 models to promote that DO need to be the stars. Gigi and Kendall only had to go to castings for ten minutes and they were in, models like Vita Sidorkina had to lose weight and work hard to get where they are. Gigi and Kendall bring press, yes, but at the cost of them being the stars of the show when 11 other models were announced as the faces of the brand and are now falling behind due to their lack of massive presence on the media. They made a huge deal out of Gigi getting in, how is that fair to their 11 new models that got a picture and a caption that listed them off and that's it? Don't get me wrong, I like their commercial work and Kendall's walk but they have models to promote that have been waiting for this for years. None of them deserve to have their thunder stolen, and all of them will have to shut their mouths if they are bothered. I don't see how that could be fair to all the regulars and their new angels + Rachel, who are making their first appearance under new titles and worked with the brand for a long time. Even though I hate the decision they made we have to understand that VS is doing what they have always, they're taking the models that are at the pinnacle of their careers. Kendall and Gigi are technically very big models at the moment, they have big contracts, fame, and they're making mad money. It makes my stomach turn comparing them to models of yesteryear but they're like *swallows hard* the "it" girls now *sobs hard*

Laundry done, #BodyByIza work out done, and then I come online to this cluster fuck. This drama is very juicy though, and Rihanna's excuse is BS she's been working on R8 for like 20 years now, bitch you have some shit recorded, she recorded Phresh Off The Runway 2 days before the show but now she can't find anything now? She cancelled because she knows she doesn't wanna deal with this BS I mean VS (Thank you Jourdan) This wasn't the first time Jourdan shaded the show either, she was interviewed once backstage and the interviewer was like "What do you think of this years performers?" and she shrugged her shoulders and said "Meh" this was at the same time that Jessica Hart said her piece about Taylor Swift.

I guess she wasn't in the room when they did the measurements cause it doesn't add up lol TBF I can think of at least two or three more FBs that do not fit the models in the slightest (KK... ouch, ouch looking at the pics of that one hurts) But I still think based on timelines and whatnot that Lily wasn't the original intended recipient. Selita's lopsided Christmas Horror wasn't much better. I definitely think this Bra belongs to Lily, I think VS might be doing it as a thank you for her years of service to the company but also for being so well connected that with just one phone call she could get Taylor Swift to perform for them, I think Ed took that to mind as well. They made a whole story about how she and Ed had dinner and she had called Taylor and gotten her booked within minutes, maybe that had some weight in the decision making process.

I think Behati's gotten plenty of attention from VS herself with the fragrances, Pink spokesman for so long, opening and closing segments, I think it's in her personality to just be carefree and not jealous for someone. It's the crazy eyes, she gave Ed one look and he knew he had to take her or risk losing his life.

I think some wings would be fitting with the firework sprays she has coming off her bra and hips, something light like Adriana's in 2010 where she just had simple wings going with the Bra. Anyone else think that this Bra belonged in last years show, and last years bras should of been used this year for symbolic purposes? 20th Anniversary having the 2 veterans in VS wearing 2 Bras. I feel they missed the mark on some really good symbolism they could of used for last years bras, nevertheless I'm glad Lily gets to wear it, she's always been very thankful and humble of what VS has given her and her walk over the years has really improved.

I'm sure once the wings and other adornments are added the sprays will hardly be noticeable it'll probably look a lot better in motion too. Kinda surprised they picked Lily though that came from left field for sure!

I think that's a great analogy totally agree, I think once they're gone the Golden Age of VS will officially be over, but hopefully it will be followed by a Renaissance of new girls paving the way to something new and exciting.

Not true she got wings in the 2007 Finale (but so did every other girl ) She also got a Feather Cape in 2006 Femme Fatale which by today's standards brush some gold leaf on them and you basically have Karlie's Wings last year. Alessandra did not wait 12 years. She wasn't an angel til late 2004 so she only had to wait 8 years. From my understanding only angels get the fb. Adriana also had to wait 8 years. Speaking of Ale her appeal went away looooong ago. And her man feet.......nvm. Are wings really that special? Some of them are ugly as sin and ruin the costume they wear. They also had a lot more competition back then when they were starting out against bigger models for the FB like Tyra, Gisele, and Heidi. Nowaday's we're having trouble figuring out whose left to give it to because the "main girls" all had their turns. If only Rosie and Doutzen stuck around this could of been their year :persuazn:

You would think we were picking on Gigi or someone with actually fashion credentials with the backlash we're getting, Megan IS basic, what I wouldn't give to see some more models of color on the runway instead of this white girl, she's a boring, inexperienced, very very very well connected girl whose basic compared to present and past beauties that have graced the VS Runway. You line her up with other new girls and you're not gonna have trouble picking the odd man out.

In love with Martha's new hair, really frames her face a lot better than what she had before. Pulling a Karlie and chopping it off is a good move in my opinion.

VS needs new girls to talk about how this show changed their careers a decade from now since all of the vets are leaving. I hope Magda still has time even with how much time she's spending on her jewelry line, good way to promote it more if anything right

I have this pit in my stomach telling me that maybe the marketing team is behind this casting "get more average looking girls that will appeal to the public more instead of these gorgeous glamazons it's not 'realistic.'" That's my only take on some of these strange girls being cast and others being sent home. That rant Gigi went on with body shaming kind of helps too, maybe they're trying to put bandaids on that "Perfect Body" campaign and all of the photoshop controversy they've faced in the past.

God I wish I could find that clip of Gigi calling her mom saying she's feeling light headed because of the cleanse she's doing and her mom in a hospital bed telling her to slowly chew a couple almonds.

Right now of the new comers that have been confirmed I'm liking Vita the most, was looking through one of her Instagram posts and I mistook her for Toni Garrn and her body looks fantastic! Bridget looks great too, though I hope they don't over saturate the show with too many blondes. Valery meh dating a celebrity good for you free pass, Pauline is kind of basic looking, don't really like her look for the show but it's not my decision. I watch Yolanda Foster's reality show religiously so I'm happy Gigi is in even if she's a little over hyped. Iza needs no confirmation she is always in, until she can no longer walk she will be in the show because she will live to be 150 thanks to #BodyByIza

Whether you like the Angel or not it's always sad seeing an Angel go. I just wish these girls would announce it before the show so we don't get blindsided not knowing it'll be the last time we see them walking that runway, like Tyra did in 2005. I knew at that point when she was walking in Sexy Toys that I'd never see her on that runway again and it was amazing she really went out with a bang, I don't see why these girls keep it a secret until after the show is done. I'll definitely miss Doutzen she was this sexy too cool for school dutch bombshell she's changed so much in the 10 years that she's been with VS from her Stomping down the runway in Sexy Santa Helpers to her just being perfection in Ballet De Fleur in 2008. She really was a stunner. Now that I'm reading over this it sounds like a eulogy more than a goodbye to a really great model. I have a feeling we'll be seeing her more in Calvin Klein now though especially since shes in the Reveal Fragrance Commercial which coincidentally aired during yesterday's show.
