Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
It's so awkward to look at now that it's been pointed out since everything she's wearing is white, and that spot on the panties she's supposed to be "selling" just makes it even more obvious. Are you guys sure it's a panty-liner/pad instead of a real accident?

I can honestly see the angel line up in 2015 (I'll give it a good year) being: Candice, Bee, Adri (I don't think she wants to leave), Lais, Karlie, Barbara, Lindsay, and Lily. I think Lily and Lindsay will be fillers for a while since they're both really good with press and interacting with the media and fans. However, Lindsay will get dropped pretty fast since she doesn't really have much attention outside of VS, and whenever she leaves I can see them signing one of the PINK girls - most likely Sara.

I've heard her say that acting was a priority, just as Barbara has said before too but Barb has also said she dreams of being an angel. I agree on the Cara point where VS is just using her because of her fashion fame, but she has a lot of bad media to involving her drug incident earlier this year. I was really surprised she was in the show after that, but VS does whatever they want to. I think Cara, if she accepts, will most likely be an angel since Sophia loves her to pieces. I feel like Doutzen has a higher chance of getting the FB solely because of so many people complaining. Just as it was with Ale. Too many people wanted her to get it, but I think if she didn't get it Candice would have gotten it last year for sure. Bee and Karlie are the two main runner ups because Bee has her connection to Adam and her sudden weight loss while Karlie has her MTV and high fashion connections. I don't think Lily has a shot at all because she's had her daughter and she's gotten married and she was still looked over. So, I have a feeling Bee, Karlie, and Doutzen are the three candidates this year and Doutzen doesn't have that much of a chance.

Jessica Hart
I love how Jessica can be cute for PINK but sexy for her other shoots, but her age confuses me. Usually models are discovered or start modeling early in age (mid-late teens), but Jessica is 27 if I'm not mistaken. How long has she been modeling?
-
Chanel Iman
Is it just me or is Chanel doing less and less work in fashion and more in entertainment ever since her VS contract ended?
-
Gracie Carvalho
I wonder why VS hires Gracie for so many of their shoots, yet they won't let her walk in the show. That's always confused me.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
I was just clarifying the confusion. I wasn't dragging on the statement confusion out, I was just clearing up the users confusion of my comment/interest in my profile changes. As for Magda, if it's a model's time of the month, couldn't they use the tan/flesh colors panties they use under their swim attire and during fitting? I've seen Lindsay wear it, and Monika during her time in St. Barts. I think that would have fit better as a barrier instead of a panty-liner.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
Yeah, I took Georgia out because it was a bit too specific for my taste and seeing as very few people have their specific whereabouts posted I figured my comfort suited something more broad, but I'm flattered you paid that much attention to my information PS - of course you don't have to agree with me, hun. You are a human who is born with the right of an opinion, and you are free to think whatever you please. I was simply saying that you are being closed minded to how it would offend someone OR you couldn't fathom the perspective of another individual. Meaning, you didn't want to versus you couldn't. Well, that would have been obvious if you read it.

Oh, I forgot about Selita/Kanye! That would have brought the company a lot of attention, and obviously they like the media attention with anne v/adam, bee/adam, lily/caleb, erin/leo, etc. Maybe it was because Marisa was a huge face on Sports Illustrated and she was a sex symbol to the public eye? I honestly don't know why they signed her since her time was so short, she only walked 3 shows, and her walk was horrid. As for Selita, her body was always a bit awkward to me. Like she had a short torso and super long legs, plus her attitude isn't the best. She got sued last year for attacking a woman and breaking her nose for talking to her boyfriend. I think that's a huge reason why VS denied her the ability to walk in their show one final time. Adriana and especially Ale should have been before Selita and Marisa, just as Doutzen should have been before Candice no matter how much I like the latter. Adriana has much more of an exotic, sexy appeal than Selita did and Alessandra has a confidence and beauty, especially back in 2009 when she still had a bit of weight on her. I think that opening isn't a big facter, though. Adri opened in 2010 and wore the bra, but maybe that could have been because by then opening had lost some of its importance. It's sad that few people remember that Ale even opened, but the segment and her outfit were horrible so it's kind of a good thing. I agree, but I have a bad feeling that Lais isn't going to become an angel. So many people thought Emanuela de Paula was going to become an angel because they used her back then just as much as they use Lais now, and then all of a sudden Chanel turned 18 and VS signed her almost at once because of her high fashion reputation. I love Lais, she's my favorite model, but VS is a bit unpredictable with who they sign now. As for a model of color wearing the fantasy bra, I think that it'll be almost as quickly as Marisa or Candice got it not only because I have a feeling VS will push their angel of color to the front to put the people who point it out at ease, but also to slighten the gap left between angels of color who wore the bra. Maybe that's another reason Selita wore it? I would love to see VS hire an Asian angel and a redheaded angel. They're all beautiful, but there's never been representation for either aside from Cintia and she's never walked a show. Since they have a few spots open with Miranda, Chanel, and Erin gone (along with rumors of Ale leaving soon), I wonder who they'll sign to take up those spots.

I'm a bit confused on what the grounds of attaining a fantasy bra are ever since Victoria's Secret's "golden days" ended. I understand why Adriana or Candice would get it since VS posts their pictures everywhere and they're practically the faces of the company, but I really don't understand why Selita or Marisa got the FB when they did. Marisa had only walked two shows before, and her FB was the last show she walked, and Selita was never really popular amongst Izabel, Ale, Adri, and Heidi. So, any ideas on how or why they got the bra when they did?

Do you think it's possible Cara's going to have a bigger part in the show this year? I think I've seen a few pictures of her in front of a few cameras in a private room. Maybe she's between segments?

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
As said before, I'm done talking about it. Obviously you don't agree and either you don't see it from my perspective or you're extremely closed minded; however, I refuse to keep this going. If you want to keep talking about it, I will gladly respond to messages. Whether people were "jumping on the bandwagon" or simply agreeing with me doesn't matter, and obviously due to my low post number you can tell that I'm fairly a fairly new member to Bellazon so "forgive me" for not defending comparisons before hand. To each their own, and you go about your beliefs as you wish while I will still say that I believe what was said was rather racist but Kervork89 did make a valid point by stating the user simply could have had a moment of bad wording. What was said was offensive to ME, since, stereortypically, "all black people look the same" and the way he phrased it using the "all" instead of a more specific word if he was talking about models as a whole took it to a deeper level than he could have intended. But, obviously you'll defend the statement until you're exhausted and you'll attempt to prove my statements false with every ounce of your being. So, so be it. Believe what you wish, but that doesn't take away that I was offended as a person and I was annoyed as a fan of models and VS. The point of the matter is, people can have an opinion all they want, but when it comes to bashing people it takes on a different level of things. So, as stated many times before, I'm done and if you wish to continue you know how to message me. If not, there's no need to respond.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
So, while pointing your finger at me for being racist for saying a racist comment is racsit, you fail to acknowledge my statement about Sigrid, Martha, and Lindsay being compared and yet looking nothing alike. I'm not going to argue with you over a point you are blatantly looking over, especially since you obviously don't care about the point I made. Other people agree, what he said sounded off and particularly offending to people, and, since you are obviously not reading my first statement I'll gladly quote it for you. I've also stated that it annoys me when ANY model is compared, yet you only want to focus on the one paragraph I wrote (about the same length as the paragraph depicted above) on how it is understandable to mistaken maybe Lais/Jasmine or Emanuela/Gracie, but it's just going by skin color if you compare Jasmine/Arlenis and say "they all look the same". Your hypocrisy is showing, mainly because you attack me for being a so called hypocrite when I disapprove saying blondes/models of colors being told they look alike while never getting mad at anyone else to says the opposite about blondes. It's extremely stupid, honestly. I get it, you're getting defensive; however, why get defensive now? Why attack me of all people when I pointed out something? You didn't say anything about anyone else saying it sounded off, you don't say anything when people compare blondes, and, yet, you're going off on me right now when I was saying that models of color AND BLONDE MODELS shouldn't be compared based solely on an attribute like their skin or their hair. If you're going to get mad at someone, you should probably make sure you get mad at not just one source and start talking to every source, and since you're so quick to jump on me because I was defensive about his statement, then why don't you say something to people about comparing blonde models or brunette models or Asian models. Every model gets compared to someone with the same hair or ethnicity as them, and it's not only annoying -as I've stated at least two times before- but it's pitiful because people fail to realize that things like that don't do anything but prove that we look over facial features, bone structure, and body build to look at something so trivial as hair/race. So, yes, his statement was offensive and came off as racist because he didn't specify what he meant. Yes, it frustrating having blondes as different at Lindsay and Doutzen being compared on a daily basis as if it's casual conversation. Yes, it's annoying seeing people pull the race card at INAPPROPRIATE times; however, I've obviously spoken out against comparing anyone with the same hair/ethnicity while you've done nothing but complain about someone saying somethin gabout it and then trying to condemn the person for speaking out against it. If you hate it when someone compares blondes and you get tired of it, speak out about it and point out why it's wrong. I've spoken out about it, which you over looked, and me and the individual discussing it moved on to talking about how the worker didn't even know the models of the company he worked for. If you're going to do nothing but attack and place blame instead of providing sufficient evidence along with a good arguement to back it up, then the conversation is over and I honestly have no more reason to humor you with an ongoing debate on your false accusations of me doing wrong..

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
What makes this statement so irritating, is that there's the assumption that it's only racist if it's in reference to a black/colored model, but if practically the same type of comments are made in reference to a caucasian model it's not. Hypocrisy at it's finest. If you would have quoted everything I said, your final statement would have been proven invalid if not extremely idiotic. As I stated before, it annoys me when ANY model is compared. I even spoke up about the blondes being compared, so please explain to me where I was being a hypocrite in my argument (the very one you took a minor quote from). The "They all look alike" is racist because he didn't specify anything. Also, most VS officials are headquartered in Ohio. Ed, Kelli, Monica, everyone so I highly doubt he has a disconnect when everyone is right there. So, before you get defensive and pull the "racial hypocrisy" card, go back and read through the entire conversation as well as the replies and quoting the entire quote instead of the bits and pieces you think would fit with your arguement because you look not only ignorant with jumping on the one statement that would boost your arguement, but it also proves that you didn't take in anything that I said. If you can't do that, your comment is proven unnecessary honestly. We were already past it and speaking on the matter of how VS (whoever is in charge) could mistake their own models.

Agreed! Arlenis hasn't worked for them in a while either, so it's weird that they thought of her before Jasmine Tookes

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2013 (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
That was horribly racist...It's not racism it's the truth. We just spoke about how Sigrid, Martha, Lindsay etc all look the same but nothing is said about that why cause they're blonde and white? Jasmine, Arlenis, Gracie, Emanuela etc look very similar. It's not racist to say that. Mistakes are made people can think someone looks like someone else. To some people certain girls look similar. At first I used to get Emanuela and Gracie confused.Sigrid looks nothing like Martha, and neither of those two look anything like Lindsay. All of them have different facial features as well as body builds, so it would take a blind individual to actually think they seem alike. The only blondes that are even compareable as looking similar would be Lindsay and Elsa because they both have thin noses, they're blonde, and they have big blue doe-eyes... and those two are still a stretch. As for Jasmine, Arlenis, Gracie, Emanuela, and Lais, it's false too. I can see Jasmine and Lais being compared because they have similar facial features as well as Gracie and Emanuela because those two are EXTREMELEY similar and I confused them at first; however, Arlenis and Jasmine only have similar skin tones in common. Jasmine also has a slimmer frame facially and physically. Arlenis, on the other hand, is wider, and, her nose especially, is bigger. Besides, the user said "they all look alike" and the only thing that would come to anyone's mind is models of color mainly due to the fact that they're specific and the brand has very few models of color that they use on a regular basis. THAT is why I thought what he said was racist. I'm not attacking you I'm just stating that people look alike. You can tell the difference apart between Martha and Sigrid but truthfully at first glance I didn't know who was who. Same could be said about any girl. I know the difference between Jasmine, Lais etc but other people might not. I know the colour of the skin is the big factor but it's doesn't make one racist to say a group of girls of colour look alike when plenty of people say a group of white girls with blonde hair look alike. People just pick and chose what's racist these days and I hate when race is brought in. To get a bit personal I'm Australian but come from half armenian half Lebanese culture. I have dark skin and about 8 out of 10 people who meet me think I'm Indian. I don't find that racist because people just makes mistakes because I look similar to Indian people. Should they ask before assuming, of course but it's not racism. To me anyway. Do you know what I mean? Off topic I know lol. That's totally understandable, and it's not just involving the models of color. I also find it rude when people say that about blondes, and it's annoying when the blonde angels are always compared to one another. It's just like saying their hair/skin color is the only thing defining them, when there's so much more when it comes to their personality, faces, and bodies. Also catagorizing it as "they all" is a bit uncouth when speaking about someone. Too many people jump on models as soon as they get a chance to, and I feel as if some comments are a bit too personal and a bit too unneccessary on subjects like that.
