I think model like Sui, Joan, Jourdan, LilyD are the ones that give big names to the show and the company but they won't become angel any time soon. They have big carreer besides VS (not that the angels don't) and I think their agents and agencies are not really fond with the idea of giving such big names the reclusion that an Angel contract could bring. That means limitations in make up brand campaigns, lingerie, sport and other stuff. Angels have become famous because of VS. They are big names now because VS made them big. They are already famous. I think the only exeption to my point of view is Karlie and that comes from the fact that to me she really wanted to be an angel.

I like Sui He outfit! I think it looks lovely on her who is a very beautiful woman and those tiny wings in the back (the ones that a man is holding) are very very cute and elegant and I think they are indeed for Sui.

Uhm... maybe Bieber was younger than her when he performed at the VSFS? I'm the same age as Britney so I was in HS when she got her break. Her sexualizing was definitely a theme at the time, same with Christina. I'm not saying they weren't "selling sex", I'm saying they fit the part they wanted them to have. I don't feel like it's like this with Ariana, that's all.

^ I think, like it was said before me, they had the necessity of putting both her and Adriana in the Fantasy Bra outfits from the beginning since they said it took 20 minutes or so. In that case either they opened the show or opened the second segment which is the second option in this year's case.

I think they had in mind they wanted Karlie to be an angel already in 2011 so they gave her three outfits at her first show and all that big deal of an intro and she even closed the show. Maybe they were trying to make the "it moment" for her themselves but I have to be honest I kinda feel what you said about the fact the Candice was the last one giving that power feeling. By the way, I had that feeling when I first saw Elsa in pink. She just shined and she keeps doing it.
