I occasionally write funny things at Cracked.com, and am one of their official judges in the "Craption Contests," where people try to come up with the most hilariously offensive captions for random photos.

  1. Telman, you are AWESOME!!! I wish there were more scans of her out there.
  2. Any idea who this model is? She's on dozens of sites that sell Indian and Pakistani clothing.
  3. Awww man, the photos aren't showing up!
  4. Definitely neither Chrisite Brinkley nor Cheryl Tiegs.
  5. Hey all! I posted this in the Vintage Models thread last August, but haven't had any success there. I don't know if not too many people view that thread or what, so I figured I try it here in the main thread. Anyway, I've been going absolutely nuts trying to identify this model who appeared in numerous JCPenney and Montgomery Ward catalogs from around 1983 to 1985 or so. I have asked on so many forums over the several years, but while most people remember seeing her, nobody has come up with a name thus far. Anyway, I would certainly appreciate help in identifying her. Thank you!
  6. YES! Thank you for posting that!
  7. I looked through this entire thread, and all I can say is that there are some outstanding pics in this--great job to everyone who posted any! Anyway, I'm looking for a scan from one of her Sears catalog appearances. It has Cheryl sitting on a swing (I think), wearing a sundress, and she is in her bare feet. I think she's wearing a hat, if I recall correctly. Anyway, this would have been from probably 1985 or possibly 1986. . . most likely the spring/summer catalog. Does anyone happen to have that, and if so, would you be so kind as to post it?
  8. Hi modelknowledge! I sincerely appreciate your looking into this. I admittedly don't know a great deal about how the model industry works. (Ok, I'll be honest: I actually don't know a thing about how the model industry works!) I had always assumed that many got their starts in catalogs such as Sears, JCPenney, et al. I know, for example, that Christie Brinkley was in some JCPenney catalogs in the mid-1970s, and Kathy Ireland and Cindy Crawford were in Sears in the early 1980s. Anyway, I've also posted the same inquirey regarding this model in the forums at thefashionspot.com a couple months back, but haven't had any luck there. But perhaps some things are best left unknown.
  9. Hey all! I just joined this site, so I hope I'm posting this correctly and in the appropriate thread. Anyway, I've been going absolutely nuts trying to identify this model who appeared in numerous JCPenney and Montgomery Ward catalogs from around 1983 to 1985 or so. I have asked on so many forums over the past year or two, but while most people remember seeing her, nobody has come up with a name thus far. (As an aside, I found it quite amusing that after confirming my username as "mournblade," I logged in here and noticed that there was a user online at that moment by the name of "Stormbringer." If you've read any of Michael Moorcock's books, you'll understand the reference.) Anyway, I would certainly appreciate help in identifying her. Thank you!
