Based on her reaction in the video, she was surprised too, @bump. I assume it was one of the ways she's diversifying herself, and obviously the IMG boss was there, so they must have been advocating for her to get it. I am so happy for all that she's done: iconic opportunities (VS Angel/Fantasy Bra), SI (3 years, one of which she shared the anniversary cover), major brand associations/ambassadorships, launching her perfume business (which sounds as if she is hoping it's merely the first step into a beauty line), and then this Oscar gig. All the while, she seems so down to earth and devoted to her kids and family. Easy to root for someone like this.

Lily is shining in all her work these days. So proud of the multifaceted career she's built and continues to build. Her BVLGARI and LRL campaigns are always among my favorites.

The bts material is so neat, thanks @Ewciolina. I could watch those stop-action-animations of her getting made up on a continuous loop. With or without makeup, she has one of the best faces around (personal opinion, not expecting universal agreement, though "duh." 😜) Seriously, she is remarkable and so professional, yet maintains that sense of humor and who she is. Best evidence on this page? Chowing on that richly deserved In and Out Burger when the night was through. You can take the girl out of southern California, but you can't take SoCal out of our Lily.
That's my immediate response too: She is powering through like it's nobody's business. Absolute respect for the Goddess.

Mixed from me about the Vanity Fair look: I love her hair, makeup, and the flow of the skirt from the back. I have always been a sucker for her beautiful figure and legs. But the combination of it all leave me unsure. A standout for sure, but in a good way?

Sudden loss is so very difficult: Whatever distraction and solace you find here, please know that you also bring the rest of us your voice, your humor, and your insights.
