No words can describe the happiness I feel

He's a playmaker, central attacking mid. Then again Hleb used to play in that position as well, but now Arsenal use him on the wings Pires is probably leaving and Ljungberg...he's been a bit off for a while... maybe Wenger is going to give into the 4-5-1 or some other variation

Arsenal sign Rosicky Why nobody had any interest in him last season was completely beyond me But now he's with Arsenal ... for only

He's a cheapass though. If a player is perfect for the team but costs too much, he'll pull out of the deal

I seem to remember he's a decent defender. I guess Rafa knows what he is doing. Don't know if he's any good. Rafa has some weird tastes... sometimes they work out, sometime not I'll just have to wait and see I guess

It'd be pretty hard to find someone of Larsson's quality. Also, even if you did, there are plenty of clubs where he'd make the first XI, instead of warming the bench for Eto'o hmmm...list of possiblities...lemme see... Jefferson Farfan he can operate on the wings as well! Crespo Rodrigo Palacio Apparently he's doing well at the moment Kalou Kuijt Boa Morte Ibrahimovic? Del Piero? Juve are going down Podolski Smolarek Borowski Pizzaro Kuranyi Fred Carew Nihat

I'm pretty sure we are trying to sell him or swap him (apparently for Melli at Real Betis). He's been absolutely horrible and I'm sure he'd be frustrated as well with the lack of goals and his performances. His omission from Spain's World Cup squad would surely be the biggest clue for him to move. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't play for Barca, being from Madrid and everything.

I watched Maxi play today against Ath. Bilbao. Hopeless I guess he hasn't lived up to the hype at all

A 17 y.o. right-winger we bought from Tranmere or Hull, if I remember correctly. We had to swap John Welsh, an England U-21 captain, for him At first I was sceptical, but after watching him play for the reserves, he looks quite good (Y) He plays with players a few years older than him on average, and he puts them to shame He has great pace, trickery and is willing to take defenders on. He's got a nice cross and can use both feet as well. We just have to bulk him up a bit more and improve the mental and tactical aspects of his game. He sounds like a good right winger Isn't that exactlly what Liverpool needs? Did Liverpool realese some of there youngsters today? He's too small, he'd just get pushed out of the game if we played him now. He's also got some roaming issues. Sometimes he's near the line, sometimes he wanders into the centre Well, he's pretty good for now, but I wouldn't expect too much of him Did we release youngsters?

Apparently, they're willing to pay 6 mill pounds for him! I've never seen him play but there are always teenage prodigies coming out of Brasil and Argentina. Are you hoping Juve get relegated to Serie B? Then you can snap up Zambrotta, Ibrahimovic and Buffon

Personally, I think he's matured and improved his performances in big matches. I was expecting him to dazzle because it was his chance to shine on club football's biggest stage. He was captain of Arsenal, playing a great match (on paper) in his hometown. What more motivation could you need? But I guess the nerves got to him?

:persuazn: The only thing that guy has ever done and it has to be against Milan :knives: Traore would never have had to clear the line off the ball if Milan were eliminated by PSV in the semis
  19. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
Well, I guess that's still considered young in Milan
  20. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
He's still on Liverpool David Moyes was after him... hopefully he's still after him! Maybe he'll help Everton get relegated *sigh* I'm not sure if anyone is stupid enough to buy Traore off us. I remember one moment when I worshipped the ground he stood on. It was when he cleared the ball of the line against Milan

Henry dissapering in a big game, that's a surprise but I didn't expect Ronaldinho to have such a poor game If only Henry could consistently play the big games
  22. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
Hopefully :| Apparently there will be a big clearout to fund transfers and to decrease total wages, and also to make way for the masses of youngsters we've imported. In a few years we might see Paul Anderson making his debut but the biggest cause for celebration would be the departure of Traore

BARCA! Football Facts of the Day (1) The Spaniards have won both Anglo-Hispanic finals this year! If both teams somehow make it to the finals of the WC (ha!), who would you bet on? The politically divided, perennial underachievers Spain, or the Rooney-less England, managed by a guy involved in more sexual affairs than Beckham? (2) This victory meant Spain has won the most European Cups (11 cups vs 10 for England & Italy) Barca Analysis Their performances have been declining for the last couple of months, or was it since Messi got injured? Whatever it may be, if they're the best team in Europe, they certainly didn't show it. Nevertheless, Barca kept attacking and pressing forward (Y) and luck was on their side. Then again, you always need a bit of luck to win the European Cup Arsenal Analysis Personally, I think Arsenal played better. Although it was easier for them because they played on the counter, they were playing with 10 men for 70+ minutes Almunia did a good job replacing Lehmann. Some will say they didn't have the luck, some will say their captain disappeared when he was needed most. I say replace the ref! :persuazn: Oscar Nominees Barca players decided to show the world what they learnt during their drama/acting lessons. Most of the fouls against Barca near FT were unconvincing. If you're going to dive, learn to do it properly! Man of the Match The match officials. If they go to the WC, I'll be spewing. Singled out for special praise...the ref! He must've at least come close to setting a new record for 'No. of times whistle blown in a match' Not much more to add, but I'm sure some gooners fans would be more than willing to demonstrate how certain words, namely expletives, can be used in a wide variety of contexts. Missing Persons Ronaldinho and Henry were meant to be on the pitch. Did anyone spot them?

I haven't been keeping up with the latest transfer rumours, but from the top of my head, the ones that are still going around are: Daniel Alves (Sevilla) Fabio Aurelio (Valencia) Riki (Getafe) Gabriel Palleta (Banfield) A right-winger? Simao and Joaquin rumours have died. Giuly was mentioned briefly. Wright-Phillips won't be likely. Since Brum are going down, maybe we'll try again for Pennant and Upson. We should get Sergio Aguero from Independiente
