He started losing it before then. His form dipped when he consciously decided to be Barca's and Brasil's one-man attack. Now, he's putting pressure on himself to work miracles everytime he touches the ball. He doesn't seem to be having much fun anymore and its affecting his performances It's something that's happening to other players too Without Fergie shouting at him, Cristiano is reverting back to being a ball hog. Robben put in some good performances, but when he gets that boost in confidence he thinks everything he touches turns to gold <_< and Brasil look fragile Luckily they have quality in defence (although the defensive system is flawed)

 Many people believe the problem is corruption in football. They are wrong. The problem is corruption. Serie A and other sports are only the tip of the iceberg...

I only caught a glance of the game. Italy screwed it. hard. :|

ahem! you forgot Riquelme and Maxi Rodriguez <_< Their defence still looks a bit dodgy, but maybe their winning formula is not to play all their big guns on the pitch at the one time... ... Poor Brasil

They played so well through the centre. Messi has class stamped all over him. What other player recovers from injury, and comes on with only 15 minutes to go and gets a goal and an assist? forgive my backtracking...

Whenever I've Torres play for Madrid, he's hasn't been great. I've been trying to tell everyone he's overhyped, but now he's making me eat my words <_< Compared to Henry? where are the similarities? :lost: and yes, Henry's developing a problem with accepting loss. First it was in the Champions League, and now he pulls this stunt...

There were some good moments towards the end. What about Ballack and Podolski missing from 3 yards out? Seriously, my grandmother could do better than that!

He's meant to be a replacement for Larsson right? But he can't play as a lone striker... :lost: He's versatile, though, which is a good thing. *sigh* Gudjohnsen has officially moved from one bench to another

Spain put in a top notch performance today and I think the 4th goal by Torres has to be goal of the tournament (so far), if not a nominee! It was kind of weird watching Torres play, though. I haven't seen him play in ages, but I don't recall him being so good He put in a really good performance today. The great run by Puyol deserved a great finish and he did the job well. Does anyone know who the MoM was?

MWAHAHAHAHA Kaka and Xabi scored today!!! I'm so happy It seems Brasil still haven't really solved the balance problem on the field Too many times they got caught at the back. Normally there's only Juan and Lucio guarding the back, with Emerson, Cafu and Carlos all rushing back down to try and defend <_< Brasil didn't look too good and Ronnie was didn't do too much. The Croats fouled him a lot but the ref called them, and by the end Ronnie just gave up appealing to the ref Only players that stood out were Kaka and Lucio. Croatia look solid and it was only Kaka's brilliance that proved the difference. They should have their heads held high after that performance

I didn't get to watch that game. How'd it go?

Viduka didn't do much, bar some crazy back heel in the box. Kennedy provided more movement in a static front line and started being a nuisance. Harry made one noteworthy effort after the Japs "scored" Who did Aloisi replace? I forget and I'm confused as to why Bresciano got taken off because he wasn't bad. I would've preferred both Bresha and Timmy to be on, but it worked out fine Also, Guus pushed one of the Japanese staff BADASS! :blueeyedbaby:

Who are Italy playing first up? Maybe Iaquinta has the qualities necesary to breach the opponent's defence? I think Lippi is a good coach, so we'll see how it all goes. Of course, now the Italians have a scapegoat if all goes wrong

You see the light too! *worships you* van Persie is a gun! I'd be pretty frustrated too, if I had to play with him during that game.

Definitely! Ivory Coast deserved a lot more, but they let the Argie midfielders turn. Then they didn't close them down. And that's when you know... :knives: It's a shame that two players of such class can't gel, kind of like Terry and Carra though. He put in a great performance! But at the end there he just got too cocky and it was good for the neutrals that he took on the defence, but many a time, there were better options. It would've been frustrating from a managerial point of view, watching him toy around and not lay lay off the ball. Nevertheless, credit to Mourinho for shaping Joe Cole and Robben into disciplined attacking players. Both of them can carry the ball and attack, but they also trek back to defend as well (Y) Now all Mourinho has to do is make a team of players that can keep their feet on the ground Thank you It's nothing special, but I still like it. Bunny likes it too :pimky:
  23. I'd be quite confused if I saw the movie without reading the book. There's not enough time to let anything sink in and also, they leave out the finer details, which makes it all the harder to understand... :lost:
