thanks, but I'm still cautious for now. I fear Barca when they're forced to come out and attack. They're playing like crap recently but if they snap, we are going down. Probably something like 6-0 I'm happy about Valencia's draw with Inter as well but Inter are in form and won at the Mestalla last time if my memory serves me correctly... *gulp* What a boring game (for the neutrals of course, not for me ) It should've been called Barca vs Barca because there was no Liverpool there and Shevchenko's strike was sweeeeet (Y)

well, bare in mind that we are in Spain, there's always a difference between the EPL and the rest leagues in how strict the official is The officials were from Greece and those fouls were softer than La Liga fouls. It was just constant start-stop, no flow in the game whatsoever...though that may be a blessing in disguise

By the way, the ref in the Barca-Liverpool match SUCKS :| How soft are the fouls? Doesn't he get tired of blowing the whistle and stopping play so much? <_<

Apparently there are rules in the Premier League forbidding the fielding of players that are owned by a 3rd party. Not only would it have been illegal to field him but there was also an investigation into West Ham, Portsmouth and Everton for fielding Tevez, Mascherano and Manuel Fernandes (on-loan from Benfica). They might've recieved points docks for playing them so there was a really big fuss for a reason We were after him because he would be cheap and Sissoko was out and we were running out of back-up in midfield. I don't know what the deal is with ownership now though but Masherano is meant to be here on a loan. I don't know what's going to happen. I guess one will have to just settle for warming the bench

What about the Pizarro dummy that drew 2 defenders and then the shot? THat was awesome but Casillas' save was top notch (Y)

Arsenal is so screwed. Koeman was responsible for Liverpool's exit to Benfica last year. All he knows how to do is sit really, really deep and hit on the break and now that they've scored against Arsenal, they'll sit deeper and narrower than before :yuckky: I hate Koeman <_< The one advantage is Arsenal are a much more mobile unit than Liverpool and PSV don't seem to be as good as Benfica defensively. That being said, Arsenal will have to score the first goal and make PSV come out of their shells by using the width (thank god this is played at Emirates and not Highbury). If PSV score first, I'm not sure Arsenal will be able to come back considering every time they go down first at the Emirates it's been a 2-1 comeback and 2 home goals won't cut it this time around

All the good matches are tomorrow Inter-Valencia, Roma-Lyon and to a lesser extent Barca-Liverpool No one wants to know about Porto-Chelsea though

2? van Nistelrooij's goal came from Helguera's head-on? But he played a magnificent game until the 70 minute mark After that he just switched off and lost possession all the time but his freekicks were all quality and it seems he's figured out that all you have to do is move the ball and not your body Roberto Carlos was quality as well (Y) Without him Hargreaves would've been all over the place for Bayern but it seems like he's defending well. How many years has it been since that happened? Scary :| I don't like how Real played though. They couldn't really do anything in the forward line or in midfield all game. You should work on that lest you get overrun by Bayern again in the second leg.

I didn't really care who won or lost to be honest. :morning: How Henry-esque of him I wish I were optimistic like you. All I'd think about is how a 1-0 defeat in Bayern would end your run in the comp

  24. red_ed replied to goose's topic in Sports
maybe he's thinking "Arsenal, Chelsea and Manyoo will fear us when we collect all the mediocre players of the world"
