Okay, red I may have been overselling the significance my last post just a tad. But it's been a while since you've posted and i got excited. That last image on the richt (nef's post above) is extremely evocative. It looks like she just got some tragic news and is trying keep a brave face. Here are some pretty (if less emotional) photos. That's the one Puma! I can't stump the art sleuths of Bellazon! It's titled Dovima with Elephants. It was take in 1955 by Richard Avedon's and sold for $1,151,976 in 2010. A bargain considering Andreas Gursky's Rhine II photographs sold for $4.3m. And he didn't spring for elephants and a model. It just goes to show you that inventiveness and effort will always take a back seat to half-assing it.
True story. A number of years ago I invested 25 grand on this beautiful jpeg of kate blanchett with an elephant as an investment. But recently when I had it apprized I was told it was worth nothing. Nothing I said, "w Why, because it's a digital file infinitely reproducible?" "No" the Christys appraiser said your jpeg is worth nothing not because its a jpeg, it is worth nothing because it's a copy." I'd been swindled! Can you find the original?

Hola amigos! Thank you for all theses great Inés photographs. But can I make a suggestion. When you have very large image to post use the thumbnail feature. The large images slow things down so much that the page times out before the images can be fully download. Examples below. muchas gracias Railroad
She is one of my favorites as well, Nef. A very charming and beautiful face. I often think the make-up jobs she gets in these editorials diminish her looks. Is that just me?

You are a Winner armies! Las Meninas is the painting. And Diego Velazquez is considered by me (not a noted authority) to be Spain's greatest painter. Diego might have considered himself Spain's greatest painter as well because he painted himself into the painting which I don't think you are supposed to do when you are painting the future Holy Roman Emperess, and German Queen, Princess Margaret Theresa of Spain. But he got away with it so the Spanish court must have thought highly of him as well. Anyway for your prodigious erudition you get to pick any prize from the winners shelf...(as long as it's a Dalmatian)
