I used to think VS likes it a lot when the girls bring them publicity but I don't think they care about it that much. I mean, they gave Miranda the boot. And we all know she's always on fire in the publicity arena. Basically, I think you'd just have to be a customer fave for them to have you stick around or join the roster

This posts says it all.I think some people read way too much into VS being a brand for teens (that's the pink line you're talking about). I know lots of women in their 30s that shop at VS and also men that buy gifts for their wives from there. They have Adriana and Alessandra and possibly Doutzen to represent those people because they can identify with them in certain ways given that they're married with kids like most people their age.

I sense a lot of pressed souls down here. Are you sure some of you are not confused fans instead of haters? I don't see what triggered this recent attacking in Adriana's threads. And can someone direct me to a place where Adriana is enormously hated? I've been a fan a while and other than a sprinkle of negative comments I see about her on the internet, almost all of them are positive. You guys are getting a little carried away here thinking there are more than a few people who share your feelings towards her. In case you haven't noticed her thread is one the busiest in this forum whether there's new work out or not. TKC has said it right, famous people have their fair share of crazy fans. And I think we're willingly ignoring thinks a bit here if we think Adriana is the only one with such fans. Angelina and Jen Aniston fans are still at war for obvious reasons, Gaga fans are viciously ruthless towards any other successful pop star, Beyonce fans are also a whole different topic. So if there are people who don't have... rather protective fans, always remember that it's because no one gives a flying fuck about them. The theory that you hate her because of her fans has to be the most ridiculous excuse for an argument...

Irff, that's the best ranting ever!! Anyways, you folks by now need to know Adriana isn't working because she doesn't want to. She's at a stage in her career where she can do w/e the hell she wants. She's probably going to do 2 or 3 major projects this year -just like she does every year- and that's it. Like someone said there are models in her agency that are working non-stop. So it's not her agent, it's Adriana herself. We all see the kind of work she does when she indeed works. Doesn't that tell you she's selective and works only when she wants to? It sucks but that's the deal

Disagree with you. All VS can do is give you a platform to become a star. they can't directly make you one, that's the job of you and your team. Lily, Candice, Alessandra, Adriana, Selita, Miranda made good use of the fame and public recognition VS has to offer. They also gave Gisele, Heidi and Tyra major pushes. They are not managing their careers for them, they can't do much about a certain model not making it big because they didn't capitalize on what they had on their VS plates. If models like Lindsay and Erin are still where they were from the beginning, that's on their end, not VS's because they have a long list of models to show they can help get you on top. Besides, some of their models are mediocre as shit. they're not going to go far even if they had Kate Upton's team at their disposal.
