  5. Well done, dear! Tasting Room Assistant Manager Rebecca Ream has quickly become a prominent figure around Doffo Winery. In addition to helping manage the busy Doffo Tasting Room, Rebecca provides excellent tasting experiences for visitors by sharing her passion and knowledge for wine. We caught up with Rebecca to find out more about her background and how she ended up here at Doffo Winery. We hope you enjoy getting to know her a little better, and next time you visit be sure to say hello to her! Where are you from? I’m originally from California but moved to Italy when I was 15, to work as a fashion model. I have lived all over: Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt, Tokyo, New York…As a model you are constantly traveling, but my main base was Milan, Italy. How did you end up in Temecula? I moved from Italy to Temecula about 2 years ago. It was time for me to come back to the states after living abroad for almost 30 years. I had never actually been to Temecula before. I just Googled “best place to live in southern California” and Temecula kept popping up. I fell in love with Temecula through the internet! It reminded me of Tuscany. I had a friend in Los Angeles and asked her to go to Temecula and FaceTime me. I liked what I saw and decided to sell my house in Italy and move here. Simple as that! Never looked back. I love it here! When did you first become interested in wine? I’ve always been interested in wine since as long as I can remember. The texture, the color, the aroma, the taste. The subtle elegance that comes with enjoying a glass of wine. What is it like to work at Doffo Winery? The Doffo family has been nothing but welcoming, kind, and supportive. I consider them not only my employers but also my friends. Doffo consistently produces the best reds in the valley. It’s an honor to work in the tasting room and represent Doffo on a daily basis. Tell us a little about your ongoing wine education and why it’s important for what you do. I’m pretty stubborn and persistent so I knew that if I was going to be working in the wine industry, I needed to get my Sommelier credentials. I just passed my first level and will soon be moving on to the second. Do you ride motorcycles? Until working at Doffo, I had never really been around motorcycles, especially ones as amazing as the bikes in the MotoDoffo Collection. They really are beautifully crafted works of art. What is your favorite Doffo wine? My favorite Doffo wine…I have many favorites! The 2009 Syrah Reserve, theMalbec, or maybe a Zinfandel Reserve… What is your favorite meal / Doffo wine combo? Favorite pairing has to be a glass of our Malbec with a thick juicy steak, rare, with some shaved Parmesan on top. Perfetto -- source: doffowines.com
