The Q+A Issue: Amra Cerkezovic
Insi-De the Q+A Issue (on shelves 21st March but available to buy online now), Matt Jones shoots pixie punk Amra Cerkezovic.
Fresh from catching our attention and igniting our imagination in a busy season of runway roaming, Matt Jones captures Amra Cerkezovic for the cover of The Q+A Issue. With a smile and a wink, we get a little closer to the pixie punk in a beauty editorial alongside Mae Lapres, Anais Malim, Ruby Jean Wilson, Ondria Hardin, Xiaomeng Huang, Eniko Mihalik, Esther Heesch and Candie Huffine – find out more in the issue! In the spirit of Q+A, we asked Amra about:
Describe yourself: It’s so difficult describing your own personality in a few words, I have so many different characteristics. Library, lake, coffee, Drina… these words offer a little insight.
Is there one burning question you’ve always wanted to ask the world?: Why do people think that you need to fear something to respect it, and that if you make someone fear something, they will be better? Take God, for example, he is supposed to inspire morality but if you only do something because you’re afraid of not doing it, or doing the opposite, that is not being good it is being a coward. Why would you rather choose to shut your mind and heart and just walk blindly where the crowd takes you instead of just putting your heart on your sleeve and walking the world?
What’s the best thing about being alive?: Breathing, feeling things on your skin.
What makes you happy?: Eating good food, rain, getting a new book, coffee and newspapers in the morning, having amazing people around me.
What makes you smile?: Everything, from people doing push-ups on the street to pointing a finger to my nose.
