I was thinking the same thing when I saw her snap story today.

I'm not a Kendall/Gigi/whatever fan either but to blame the entire demise of VS and the show on them is just ridiculous. Three girls out of 50 are not going to make or break the show, and honestly if people didn't want to see them, TRHW and KUWTK wouldn't be going into their billionth season. The small niche of people that follow VS and models might turn their nose at them, but the average American probably doesn't give a shit how those girls got their spots. Case in point: most of my friends that were over yesterday and don't follow fashion closely loved Gigi, and loved seeing Bella and Abel. I agree that moving networks would be a smart move for them, or at least looking into live streaming it. CBS could live stream it and include the commercials to keep up their revenue. The CW would be a good fit as well, although I think that network has a smaller reach/audience.

I am going to 100% have to rewatch this when a torrent is out because there were 8 of us crammed in my living room and I couldn't focus on the show over all my friends reactions to the show/performers. Some thoughts on what I did see: - WTF was Taylor doing with her arms in both her walks. I'm guessing she was trying to show off the outfits but she looked like she was trying to take flight in TRA. - Gaga was a joke. Literally all of the girls I had over were laughing when she was on screen with her crazy "dance" moves. Songs didn't fit the runway either imo. - Pink was really fun. The energy was there and some of the girls were fantastic. I liked how cohesive the segment looked, even if the actual outfits were a little iffy. - The Hadid sisters crying about walking together was more touching for me than Jo's crying. - Georgia's BNA outfit needed wings. It was super gorgeous but it seemed to be lacking something. Also, more Georgia thanks. - Unpopular opinion, but I didn't hate the editing. I need to rewatch the show before I can comment on anything else. I am going to make myself some tea and then tally up the IG increases shortly for anyone interested.

Taylor fits all the boxes that IG's main demographic is looking for. Young and age relatable? Check. Glamorous cool job that involves lots of travel to chic/exotic locations? Check. Cute dog? Check. Boyfriend that takes sappy couple photos/works as her personal photographer? #relationshipgoals Check. And, as mentioned, Taylor gets a strong push from the brands that that age bracket is following. VS heavily features her, Vogue US loves her and has her in their web content. She's very successfully imo been able to go back and forth from commercial to high fashion and that's really worked in her favour in developing a following. I personally would be very happy if I never had to see another snapchat or picture of Tate again. And yeah. The taping really isn't a big deal for the general public. All the articles and whatnot that come out from it are just promo for the actual show when it airs, and that's when the average person is going to be paying attention so that's usually when the girls see a jump in their followers. Right now Elsa averages 4K new followers a day, and Jo is at 7.5K. Even if she doesn't beat her tonight, she'll be ahead of her very shortly.
