I think Inception, should consider a sequel. This was the most confusing movie, I have ever watched. I can only imagine what the "second one" would be like. I can't compare Inception to the Matrix, simply because, I found the matrix to be a bit of a bore

Chris Farraday (Mark Wahlberg) is an ex-smuggler who works installing security alarms and lives a peaceful life with his wife, Kate (Kate Beckinsale), and their two sons in New Orleans. One day, Chris and Kate learn that her brother Andy (Caleb Landry Jones) was smuggling drugs, but was forced to drop them into the Mississippi River in order to avoid arrest during a surprise inspection by U.S. Customs. Andy's boss, ruthless mobster Tim Briggs (Giovanni Ribisi), is infuriated and demands repayment. Chris meets with Briggs, who threatens to kill Chris' family if Andy doesn't pay $700,000 in two weeks. Chris realizes that the only way to raise the money is to run contraband and joins the crew of a cargo ship where his father Bud (William Lucking), currently in prison, used to run contraband, in order to buy $10,000,000 in fake bills in Panama and smuggle them into the U.S. with the help of Andy and Chris' old friend Danny Raymer (Lukas Haas). While Chris is gone, Briggs and a couple of his thugs break into Chris's house and scare his wife and kids. Chris asks his best friend, Sebastian Abney (Ben Foster), to take care of his family. He suggests that Kate and the children move to his apartment, and she accepts.

Rarely will you see a film as bleak as this one. If you want to get depressed about alcoholics Leaving Las Vegas with Nic Cage is a far better choice. Crazy Eyes is yet another tale of self destruction via alcohol—and not a particularly interesting one. The lead character Zach (Lukas Haas) is a divorced father of a 5-year-old who spends every minute of every day getting drunk and drunker. Zach lives in Los Angeles and has an endless flow of cash, which is never quite explained. One can assume he was born to rich parents. It is a boring life so alas, it’s a boring movie. Zach gets drunk, Zach sleeps with women, he has an ex-wife who justifiably can’t stand him and a son who yearns for his love and attention. “Crazy Eyes” is the nickname he gives to Rebecca (Madeline Zima), a woman who drinks as much as he does and suffers the same kind of hangovers. They stumble around going nowhere together. Zach has a bartending best friend, Dan Drake, played with enthusiasm by Jake Busey. In fact, every one of the actors are extremely talented but the script is like a flat-lined monitor. How many scenes can an audience endure with a protagonist who's a self-obsessed drunk? A movie is supposed to have a story. A character needs to go on a journey. This guy is living a groundhog’s day—drink, have sex, awake hungover, rinse, repeat. Zach’s father (Ray Wise) becomes ill, so our anti-hero manages to wobble over to the hospital and slur. Meanwhile, his mother (Valerie Mahaffey) is losing touch with reality and Zach is of no help. He’s a rotten dad too. His son packs an overnight bag and eagerly waits for Zach to come collect him for a visit but surprise, surprise, the alcoholic can’t show up. The saddest part of this film, written by Adam Sherman, Dave Reeves and Rachel Hardisty is that it's 98% true. “The lead [Zach] is based on my life,” Sherman said. “The girl [Rebecca] the lead [Zach] is obsessed with and dating throughout the film is one of my writing partners, and his best friend [Dan] is my other writing partner. So, basically I wrote an autobiographical film in collaboration with the other characters in the film.” Crazy Eyes does have a great soundtrack but here are 5 better movies to see about alcoholism: Days of Wine and Roses, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf, The Lost Weekend, Barfly and Sideways. 'Crazy Eyes' opens in NYC July 6, 2012. 96 minutes. Not Rated. Source: http://www.examiner.com In regards to the soundtrack: 'Crazy Eyes' Soundtrack Features Music by Bobby Johnston and Several Independent Artists Release Date: June 28th, 2012 Lakeshore Records will release Crazy Eyes – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack digitally on July 3, 2012. The soundtrack features original music composed by Bobby Johnston (Mother's Day, Wristcutters: A Love Story) and new songs by indie artists Stepfather, Gvcci Hvcci, Sister Spaceman and Lindsay Heath. Zach (Lukas Haas, Inception, Mars Attacks!) seems to be living the Hollywood bachelor dream – he's got a house in the hills, the phone numbers for dozens of beautiful women and a hard-partying lifestyle aided and abetted by his bartender pal, Dan (Jake Busey, Enemy of the State, Starship Troopers). It seems nothing can tie down this divorced father, until he meets "Crazy Eyes" (Madeline Zima, Californication TV series, The Nanny TV series) – the one woman he can't have. As the two embark on a love-crazed, booze-fueled relationship, Zach's family issues begin to take center-stage, questioning whether or not this partying lost boy can step up to the challenge and become a man. Crazy Eyes was co-written and directed by Adam Sherman (Happiness Runs, Wristcutters: A Love Story), produced by Hagai Shaham (The Details, Mean Creek) and music supervised by Doug Bernheim (Half Nelson, Transamerica). "The first scenes I scored were the ones between Zach and Rebecca - the snappy, jazz pieces," said composer Bobby Johnston. "I think we wanted to set the tone for the partying scenes before moving on to the more emotive parts." Composer and multi-instrumentalist Bobby Johnston's music has been featured extensively on the radio program This American Life. Johnston was called 'a new voice in film' by Film Score Monthly, his soundtrack for King of the Ants earned him critical praise in film music circles. His credits also include Wristcutters: A Love Story, Edmond, No Impact Man and Spooner. Johnston's approach to composing utilizes organic and acoustic instruments, which he plays himself, often complimented by featured soloists. This approach perfectly matched with Adam Sherman's vision for the film. "He talked about using a female singer to do scat-like, la-la vocals. He also knew he wanted to use finger snapping on Zach and Rebecca's themes," Johnston described, "I knew right away that Lisa Papineau should sing the vocals. As soon as Adam heard her voice, he was convinced as well." Other musicians included Dan Clucas (trumpet), Brian Walsh (Clarinet), David Markowitz (violin and mandolin), Jim Lang (accordion), Marc Doten (Bass), John Krovoza (cello), Carlos Alvidrez and Sheffer Bruton (trombones). Johnston continued, "Adam wanted some of the score to be influenced by traditional music from disparate sources, such as Russian folk, French, American blues along with prohibition-era jazz. I think this was important, because somehow it helped keep the score from editorializing on the heavy drinking and drug use in the film. We didn't want to glamorize it, but we also didn't wanted to pass judgment." Crazy Eyes will be distributed by Stand Releasing and hits theaters in limited release on July 6, 2012. The Crazy Eyes - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on Lakeshore Records will be available digitally on July 3, 2012. Source: http://www.soundtrac...rticle/?id=1472

I know this "conversation" was back in 1998, but I find it hilarious, that people can make up such stories. If it was true, Lukas would have been 22-23 years old. What would Lukas benefit from stealing a CD at that age? Source: http://groups.google...W4xYxXiHdSVn5hw

Found these pics on feelnumb.com They are old pictures, but we don't have them on here The last one, I know we have but thought I'd upload it as the complete set Lukas in pink are just shots but the ones in blue, are from the david letterman show in 2010 The pictures are better, you can see the impressions that have been captured. Nothing better, than a perfect smile or even the sparkle in Lukas' eyes

Lets hope so. If there isn't, then that is unfair to people who wasn't able to go. Mind you, everything slips onto youtube or the media releases information. I don't want to sound negative, but do you think the majority of the questions will be directed at Adam, rather than Lukas or Madeline? I just think, Directors get more spotlight than the actors and the actors get maybe 20 minuites worth of interviews, then fade to the darkness!

I am very suprised, that he can keep so many lines in his mind, especially for 2 movies. With Meth Head and Crazy Eyes, do you think Lukas has the lead role?

At the start of the movie, I thought Lukas Haas (father auguste) was the wolf. Just the way he walked inside as it got dark, then he was no where to be seen, when the wolf arrived. Definately loved this movie

Unfortunately, I don't own it but I did take some pics off my tv, during the movie. :baronlamesign: I know There was only 2 bonus features and they were both commentary stuff but nothing to do with Lukas. Here is some pictures of Contraband I took. They are a bit fuzzy but that is the best I can do It would be pretty cool, if the director did what Christopher Nolan did for inception, the digital copy, then I can use my laptop to take the proper pictures, from the disc.

I don't know if you have seen Contraband as of yet, but if you havn't, OMG you will definately love Lukas' character Danny. For me, he had me smiling, laughing and worrying. His character is somewhat silly and nervous but really entertaining. Since watching him display such a fantastic performance, I can only imagine the magic he will deliver to our cinematic lives. I won't tell too much, in case you havn't seen it, but a must see I really can't wait to see Meth Head, Crazy Eyes and of course Dark Was The Night.
