She won the first “Face of The 80s” )Supermodel of the World) contest for the Ford Model Agency, and was one of the top models of the 1980s. Stai was an editorial favorite, working often with American Vogue, Italian Vogue, German Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Mademoiselle, Cosmopolitan, Elegance. She shot with the fashion industries most renowned photographers, including Irving Penn, Denis Piel, Arthur Elgort, Bill King, Francesco Scavullo and Rico Puhlmann. Stai wrote and published two books, and is currently brand ambassador and marketing chief of Louis Vuitton Norway.
