Do you know where to get Diablo2? And Commandos1,2&3? Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, I bought Diablo II, Commandos 1 & 2. Don't think they're available as legal downloads, as the GTA's are (from Rockstar Classics). Try the usual suspects if you want illegal copies - BitTorrent, P2P networks. Diablo 2, buy the expansion pack and borrow the original off someone - you only need the expansion pack CD to play. Commandos you don't need the CD at all if you do full install...

Neo, you have to pay I'm afraid Unless someone out there has a hack, crack or code

Opera 8.2 is fast, especially compared to a fully-modded Firefox. Still not my default, but I could get rid of ads for free, it would be a damn sight closer.

Original GTA and GTA2! Available as free legal dowloads. Bypass the registration requirements by going to these links: GTA GTA2

Have you tried configuring the plugin? Link
  7. How many years have we been saying she should get herself to the US? Perhaps now her personal situation has changed, she will. Argentina's all well and good, but she needs more exposure/coverage (no double entendres please!).
  8. Double posting will always happen - new people arrive, who haven't seen the older pages, people find a new stash that includes old pictures, people post hi-res. I figure as long as people appreciate the first posting, it's fine.

Waiting for the video, and I'm pretty sure someone on the internet will have some screencaps up...they usually do. Thanks for the transcript, Capt Snow.

Did you close and then reopen Firefox after installing the plugin? Also, which version of Firefox are you using - the latest is 1.0.6 Try reinstalling also.

Fair enough. A few more extensions to consider: Sage RSS Reader - A basic RSS reader, but pretty handy Scrapbook - Lets you save webpages or snippets - great when writing articles or doing research

Yeah, I know - I'm just saying for future reference. They have the entire archive on there - back to when it first started. Check out those 80's hair styles!

Re: Pirelli Pics. You can go to the Pirelli calendar website and sign up, and get the pics from there. They're not high-res, but hey. That 2005 calendar was pretty awesome. I've got the 2001 one with Gisele. The calendars themselves are huge - seriously, not your average calendar size, more like poster size.

Someone will be uploading a copy, I hope?

Yeah, that's a good one - but if you've got plenty of RAM (I've got 256MB on my laptop, works fine), head over to http://www.konfabulator.com - Yahoo! just bought them, so now a $20 programme is free. Very useful, very good looking. All sorts of widgets to be had - seriously, browse the widget gallery, and pick whatever takes your fancy.

    Widget or Extension?

Many of you use Firefox as your browser - nice one! For those of you that don't know about it, Firefox is the open-source browser with increased security over Internet Explorer, as well as features such as tabbed browsing, fully customisable with plugins, and with a huge community. Why Switch? The people who invented the web recommend you ditch Internet Explorer. Why? It's unsafe. It uses Microsoft-only features called ActiveX, that if left alone, can give sites the opportunity to install unwanted software such as spyware on your PC. Why Firefox? It's lightweight, it's fast, it's got a huge support network, it's totally customisable, and it's free. It's rapidly eating up Internet Explorer's market share, and the developers are working on it constantly. Ok, so you've got your install (notice you can import your Internet Explorer favourites and settings). Now let's talk extensions, plugins and tweaks, as well as good sites to visit. Your first port of call should be to the plugins page. Plugins will mean you can view pages with Macromedia Flash, Realplayer, Quicktime etc content, and doing this now will save you hassle in the long run. Trust me. Next, you'll want to install some extensions. These add increased functionality - and there is pretty much something for anything. Personally, I use: Adblock - Everytime you see an add, you can block it, so you never see it again Bug-me-not - Great for sites like NYTimes. Gets round login pages Unread Tabs - Shows which tabs you haven't read Session Saver - Remembers what you were looking at before you closed your browser miniT - Lets you drag and drop tabs Tabbrowser Preferences - Extra preferences for tabs Unclose Tab - Closed a tab by mistake? No big deal There are lots of other good ones out there. You'll need to close and then re-open Firefox once they're installed to get them to work. Web developers, here are some good ones: Web Developer Toolbar Colorzilla Document Map MeasureIt Ok, now you've got loads of stuff going on. You may want to organise your toolbars a bit. Right-click on your menu bar (where it says "File, Edit, View" etc) and you can select which bars you want to see, or go to "Customise". Personally, I have everything on one bar, to maximise screen space. You're probably getting into this now, so let's tweak our setup to make it go faster. Someone already mentioned this in another thread, but let's go over it again. Here are some other tweak pages for you to look at: 1 2 3 Ok, now let's talk profiles. Your profile is like your logon name for Windows or OSX, but for Firefox - so two people can use the same browser, but with their own settings. Sometimes (once in a blue moon), something will happen, and Firefox will look funny. It's usually because a profile setting has become corrupt. Use MozBackup to backup your profile. This also works with Mozilla suite, Thunderbird (mail application) and Sunbird (calendar). It will also restore your profile - including settings, bookmarks, extensions, plugins, themes, history, cookies and even the cache! Ok, I hope that helps people - whatever their skill level. IE7 beta is out, and it pretty much sucks. Deer Park Alpha 2 (next gen Firefox) is better, and it's still only in Alpha! IE7 has't fixed CSS rendering bugs, and after 5 years finally supports alpha transparency in .PNGs. I saw some stats a few threads ago. 20% Firefox is higher than global average, so this is a relatively tech savvy board (as well as all the alternative browsers). I've got IE, Avant, Opera, Mozilla and Firefox, and Firefox is my default. Gonna start a Firefox thread with hints and tips...

That's what I figured. And you know it's not me due to IPBs handy IP Lookup feature :-D Although you probably will notice that this one is from an entirely different area as when I first registered, due to me being on holiday.

Spurs are signing Davids! Good move - just what this team needs. A bit of experience.
