  1. Another good review / great words for Leo When you read these reviews you do wonder how Leo didn't receive BFCA nod http://www.screendai...&contentID=1479 Another good review http://www.ign.com/a...nchained-review Another good review http://blogs.indiewire.com/shadowandact/more-than-a-few-words-maybe-too-many-about-django-unchained
  2. Another great Django review http://www.hitfix.co...painful-history Another great review from Variety; they all do so love Evil Leo http://www.variety.com/review/VE1117948899/
  3. Shine, Calibi ,and Leo Lover Tks for all the great pix of our handsome Leo Calibi Tks for soundtrack link
  4. Three different takes on Dango from the critics at Indie Wire. Is very interesting read However they do use SPOILERS SO BEWARE All are very complimentary of Leo's performance http://blogs.indiewi...hained-20121212
  5. The Django embargo is over and the trades and film critics begin to weigh in From Hollywood Reporter
  6. Kat Yes , great minds thinking alike seeing same pix Tks for premiere tweets ; wish I was there ! Pami Great gifs in reaction today's award news
  7. Can see Sam better in this pix, as I knew beside Leo he was the only tall cast member
  8. Cast on stage ; is that Sam with a knit cap to left of Leo ?
  9. ByPrincess Yes, I'm thinking of him in his Jordan look and putting Wolf premiere ; long day for sure Kat Tks for our first Django premiere pix I agree looking hot Tks for Goldderby /Django article .
  10. From Wolf premiere, like Kat, like seeing the hair not slicked down
  11. Tarantino discussing how Leo came to be involved and how together they formed a new take on his character's behavior /etc I had to laugh as I wondered if Quentin remembered that Leo had once played Louis XIV
  12. ByPrincess Exactly same thoughts on the subject as you Also agree that Oldman /Phoenix, O'Toole are others who have given previous Oscar winning performances that have not been recognized/awarded at award season . To me one of the Oscar bloggers , who has long followed movies /award seasons says it best Fash As to Matt , for sure, others may truly feel he gave an award worthy performance in Magic Mike : I only know I didn't And, like you, I do think the nomination should represent excellence in that one performance that is listed.
  13. Kat Tks for news about Leo /CNN I hope we start seeing some Leo interview press clips on shows like ET/E/AH
  14. Funny comment about today's BFCA results. Funny but so on point Rainey Yes, be they BFCA nods or Oscars none of these awards can give DiCaprio something he doesn't already have : He already: 1. Considered one of the best of his generation 2. Is so world famous that one need ony say "Leo" and all know who you are talking about 3. Already commands top salary /back end points/ plus upfront deals such as with Inception 4. Already has his pick of top scripts ,as well as, being allowed a great deal of "input" to the script when he does sign on to a film project 5. Already works with and is sort by the top directors in the world : Scorsese, Spielberg, Nolan, Allen, Tarantino, etc Also, I agree Leo keeps his focus on the 'performance' not the 'award' ; the peformance lives on long after everyone has forgotten who was nodded/won in a given year .
  15. BFCA update Looking at Twitter comments from two well known Oscar bloggers that have become aware of the leaked list, the list is legit Girl Great find, I've never seen that Leno interview
  16. Kat The list was posted on the BFCA discussion thread at the well known movie/Oscar blog Awards Daily . However, officially on the home page of the blog NO nominations are listed, and won't be listed to an official announcement is made at noon .
  17. Kat Yes, supposedly the official BFCA announcement is not coming to 12:00 pm est today. One thing for sure if the leaked list is accurate , they need to do a better job of keeping it under wraps, as the list leaked at 5:00 am and then to do your so called 'official' announcements 7 hours later at noon seems very anticlimatic.
  18. Nanda Yes, Matt has been taking off his shirt and showing his torso for years As to my award knowledge, as I mentioned last year, I'm just a person who is lucky to have chatted for several years with a person who truly does know lots about what goes on/etc in the award season I'm just repeating here what I learned from
  19. Sic Tks for Jay Leno clip Fash Yes, can't wait to see Leo all dressed up for Django premiere tongight
  20. Nanda Of the actors on the supporting actor list I posted, I've only seen Argo/Magic Mike. While I felt Arkin had some great lines in the film; none better than the meaning of ARGO , I didn't feel his role was award worthy, and I , for sure, so nothing award worthy about Matt's performance in Magic Mike If you recall earlier this year when I posted an article that mentioned his Mike performance as possibly be an award contender, I stated that had to be a typo, and the the writer was actually referring to either his Killer Joe performance, which at the time, was being highly praised. However, now I can see it was no typo, this writer was truly impressed with his Magic Mike performance
  21. BFCA update From what I am now reading these nominations were based on a 'supposed leaked' nomination list, as the BFCA organization has stated they are not announcing their nominations to Noon or 9:00 PST And I can tell there is truth that this list is not based on any 'official announcement' as I see no mention of who was nodded at the trades Hollywood Reporter/Variety. So, not to say that the 'official announcement/list' will differ any from 'supposed leak results' but we'll see
