I read "The end of Mr Y" a while ago and liked it a lot. You can learn a lot about thought experimenty and quantum physics while reading it, but it is not complicated, not at all... "What I loved" by Siri Hustvedt touched me emotionally. It's a great work. Everything by John Irving. He's my favourite male author and I adore his works. My fav is "Hotel New Hampshire"... "Wuthering Heights" left me breathless. It's a must-read IMO.
