She has experience with being groomed. Oh, the burns ITT. I agree. Diluted is a good word for it. Even considering some pretty terrible decisions VS has made they practically changed the definition of an Angel overnight. Being an Angel used to mean having elite supermodel status but now these girls have things in their contracts like... wash Ed Razek. Is there any reason they couldn't just announce 5 girls now and 5 more girls in September or something? That would still be too many but I think the effect on Angel status wouldn't be so blatant and VS would get 2 rounds of press instead of 1. We'll see how VS's strategy plays out though.

Martha has done The Macy's Day Parade interview for the past 2 years. Unless the Angels were busy doing something on Thanksgiving I always thought that VS was disrespecting them by having a non-angel do that. That interview seems like a pretty big deal to me. And she was getting good commercial airtime too. She has been a frontrunner for an angel spot since 2013. Way before I heard anything about her and Taylor Swift.

I just watched 2 ABC morning news programs and the only 3 girls they mentioned getting Angel status were Jasmine, Taylor and Martha. Because they are the new Americans and it's not practical (cringe worthy) to name all 10. They just showed a couple of pics and said a couple of things about each.

I think because Lindsay, Behati, Lily, and Erin were sub-par and Karlie wasn't right for VS. But this is announcing 10 Angels in one day, in one 15 second video. That's a whole 'nother level.

Being an Angel has a lot less prestige now. Sucks for Elsa that she has been with this company for years and just gets brought in with these relative nobodies. The other 5 Angels have got to be pissed too.
