another thing that's obvious is that the antagonist of the new game, Gideon, has the voice actor copying Heath Ledger's Joker.

I listened to 1 hr of the Bannon-Epstein interview. Bannon was a Goldman Sachs investment banker before he re-invented himself into a "Tucker Carlson" like political figure. Bannon fails to control Epstein in the interview and it degenerates into a useless discussion of the 2008 financial crisis and maybe only 10 minutes of the exchange is interesting- Trilateral group, Epstein's view on Finance, his experience of being in Jail in 2008.

What do you think about the current character designs for Leon, Chris, Grace, Claire, and Jill? I looked at Claire and Jill again for remake RE2/RE3 and while they are pretty women I don't think they fit the characters I've always had in my mind. The Jill model is from Ukraine/or Russia IIRC? and is super slavic/foreign looking. The terrible film did it better: The Claire model is too girly- in my mind Claire was always a tall 1990s anglo-American tom girl with a blue collar dad. This Grace character is cute and looks super scared in all of the preview footage- probably the most frightened character I've ever seen in an RE game. I think they did a good job with both Leon and Chris though- especially Leon. They are as I imagine them to look like from the OG.
