I'm hoping for a sustainable peace but so far it seems unlikely. Foreign minister and other Iranian officials have already communicated their terms. Iran's maximum goal is pretty much impossible for the US/Trump to surrender to: 1. huge war reparations to offset all the damage done by the US- Iranian red cross reported 17,000 buildings damaged/destroyed by the US so far 2. complete retreat of US encirclement of Iran (abandoning all bases). otherwise, Iran wants to wage a long war of attrition and defeat the US by force. Iran's minimum goal is to create military conditions where the US will never attempt regime change and offensive operations again- this means that even if they cannot drive the US out of its bases at least they can inflict such heavy economic/political/financial/military losses that the US will never want to attack again.
