Thome is playing decent... He is frusturated at the plate though... Batthing like .206 right now... He's trying to hard I think and he is swinging at bad pitchers trying to get things going... He is hitting the ball hard though... Its only a matter of time... Phils are now 1.5 games back after winning their 4th and 5th straight games today...

My last reply to this topic was May 22 now its June 1 and the Phils are 2.5 games behind the Marlins for first place... They are 1 game under .500... Their offense is alive... Next week they will be the hottest team in baseball...

The Phils have been playing good baseball the last 10 games... They played 4 more games than the first place Marlins... If they can win this next series against them I think the Phils are still in the hunt for another month...

It is a non-issue... The front office is so great thats why the Eagles are great every year... See noone else is gonna sign TO... He will either play for the Eagles or he wont play football at all this year... Look at the schedule, he will want to be back here playing anyway... Falcons on MNF (primetime) TO loves primetime... 49ers (former team)... and then Raiders (Randy Moss)... Once TO is back he will be productive and his superbowl ring will make him happier...

Yea the Panthers defense is pretty nasty... Too bad the Eagles and Panthers don't play unless they meet in the Playoffs... I am getting way ahead of myself, its only May man... I don't know if I can wait till September...

Well the Eagles have a secondary with 3 probowlers and one that should have been there... Their linebacking core is solid... Trotter in the middle with Keith Adams and Dhani Jones on the outside... Then you look at the line with has amazing depth with a very young group of guys mixed with a few veterans like Douglas and Kearse... Now we move to offense were you brought up the recievers, well Freddie Mitchelle is garbage and thats why he is on his way out. TO will be back, he will eventually relize that he is actually hurting himself by holding out and that his best chance to get a ring is with the Eagles... Plus we have Todd Pinkston, Greg Lewis, Billy McMullen, and the new guy Reggie Brown... Then we look at runningback were we have Westbrook who has not signed his tender but probably will, we also have the new guy Ryan Moats who is supposed to be a clone of Westbrook, pluce with had Buckhalter if he finally stays healthy and Reno Mahe... Our O-Line is always solid and it should be great this year with Shawn Andrews coming back from his ankle injury... Plus as I mentioned already and QB who is probably in the top 3 in the league... The Eagles arn't going anyway, the front office is amazing, they are the most consistent team in the league...

Falcons and Panthers... AHHH... Thats all I hear... Look for them to take the NFC this year!!! SIKE... I guess everyone is forgetting about the most dominant team in football... The E.A.G.L.E.S EAGLES... 7-1 last year vs. the NFC and the one game they lost their starters only played one series... Look for more this year... The Eagles have gotten better, the rest of the East is not scary at all especially after all the hype they got last year... The Eagles have one thing the rest of the East doesn't and thats a QB...

True, The 76ers are undermatched against the powerhouses of the East but I'd think that their starting 5 could beat any of the other teams starting 5 any given night... Its a matter of who has the best bench and sometimes the sixers bench doesn't always play to their potential...

Sixers should have won the series 4-0... The first two games were terrible... They had huge leads and blew them both... Then finally their bench comes to life on Friday and the win... Today they were down 1 with 3 seconds left and willie green on the line and makes 1 outta 2... Oh man I bet he wishes he had that one shot back... Damn...

Tim Worrell tried his hardest to blow the game for the Phils but in the end they won 5-4... Was the first victory in a while for them... My mom's friend can't use his tickets for next Sunday's game so he gave them to me... What a nice guy...
