Martha Hyer (born August 10, 1924 in Fort Worth, Texas) is an American actress. She attended Northwestern University and was a member of Pi Beta Phi fraternity. After completing her education, she next appeared in The Locket in 1946. She had roles in So Big (1953), Sabrina (1954), The Delicate Delinquent in 1956 (Jerry Lewis' first film without Dean Martin), and, Houseboat (1958). During these years she was considered (by some) the best solution to the departed Grace Kelly. In the 1960s, Hyer would play in films like Ice Palace (1960), Desire in the Dust (1960), The Carpetbaggers (1964), First Men in the Moon (1964), Blood on the Arrow (1964) and The Sons of Katie Elder (1965), Night of the Grizzly (1966), among many others. She co-starred with Keenan Wynn in Bikini Beach (1964), one of the Beach Party movies with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello. On television, Hyer played the part of "Hannah Haley" in the episode "Incident West of Lano" on the Western series Rawhide. Her most significant role came as the love interest of Frank Sinatra in Some Came Running for director Vincente Minnelli in 1958, for which she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Hyer was one of the actresses considered for the Janet Leigh role of the doomed Marion Crane in the Alfred Hitchcock thriller Psycho. Her last film was Day of the Wolves in 1973. Hyer married producer Hal B. Wallis in 1966, and the couple remained together until his death in 1986. Her autobiography, Finding My Way: A Hollywood Memoir, was published in 1990. Verna Charlene Stavely, professionally known as Charlene Holt, was an American actress, known for her supporting roles in TV and film. Early life Holt was born on April 28, 1928 in Snyder, Texas, to Malcolm C. and Verna Vesta Stavely. Some sources claim her birthdate is January 1, 1940 and her birthplace was Abilene, TX.After she graduated from high school in Hagerman, New Mexico, she attended McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. She was a model in Houston, Texas. In 1956, she was crowned Miss Maryland and in July, 1956 participated in the Miss USA pageant in Long Beach, California where she was a semi-finalist. In August, 1957 she was among nine models sent to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, by Rose Marie Reid Swim Suits of Los Angeles and the Eileen Ford Agency in New York. Holt appeared in various TV commercials in 1958 and reportedly signed a $50,000-a-year model contract in New York at age 19. She was in a Revlon lipstick commercial, in which she was reportedly spotted by director Howard Hawks who later cast her in several of his films. She was subsequently named "Miss Sweater Girl" in October, 1958 by the Wool Bureau. The contest was held in the Crystal Suite of the Savoy Hilton Hotel in New York. Career Holt's first credited role was as Lisa, a model, in If a Man Answers, a 1962 comedy film directed by Henry Levin and starring Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee. In 1966, she co-starred in El Dorado opposite John Wayne. In all, she performed in over 20 TV and film productions between 1962 and 1980. Personal life Holt married William A. Tishman, a millionaire builder in Los Angeles on October 7, 1966. They resided in a luxurious hilltop house in Beverly Hill’s Trousdale Estates. In June 1972, Holt divorced Tishman in Los Angeles. Emilio Rivera (born February 24, 1961) is an American film and television actor. Biography Early life Rivera was born in San Antonio, Texas of Mexican descent. He is the oldest child of four brothers and three sisters. As a young boy, he and his family moved to Elysian Valley, a neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Acting career Rivera's first feature role was in the TV series Renegade with Lorenzo Lamas. He also had a role in the feature film Con Air, co-starring Nicolas Cage. Police Story is where they did the voice over for Maggie, I believe. I have heard about Nikita but I haven't had a chance to catch on television yet, not sure if it is any good or not. As far as Gong Li, I think Memoirs was the biggest thing she has done. And of course Hannibal Rising. A lot of Americans had misconceptions about what a geisha really is.
