I´ve just burned my tongue on a potatoe, dammit. (literally) And of course it is absolutely OK to leave when you don´t like the brand policy or attitude. I also agree with you that it was brave to do that and I´m glad Lae did get big and famous even when (I´m sure) many people might had considered that risky to leave such a big brand.

I like Lae but hell, that sounded shallow. From my perspective, when you´re a model that works for a company and represent that company and are paid for it (quite well, as I suppose) it is logical to promote the products of that company. It would be stupid behind reason to put other products in your own promo campaign or let your models speak about how they love Chanel. (when it´s VS you should be promoting) Recent example of a true professional (in my eyes) - Gisele and Stuart Weitzman: She wasn´t even paid to do that and yet she did it. She wore those damn shoes. While I was there it was great to explore my favourite seasonal wardrobe; summer. Anything goes really, I had such fun over the week I was there experimenting and playing with different looks, and pieces of jewellery, and makeup. Looking back on this holiday now (while I'm in rainy London) gets me excited and has me planning for summer 2015. I followed the Spring Summer 2015 shows avidly in winter 2014, and so had had a field day playing with the trends for 2015 early! So here are some candid family photo's from our trip, landscape photo's, and pictures of my SS15 inspired wardrobe. This was just ironic. Glamour UK magazine doing a photoshoot right in front of me. The model there is dutch Victoria's Secret Angel Bregje Heinen who I saw walk the VS fashion show just a month previous. On an island across the world and my fashion industry follows. Hm: seeing as it leads here however... I'm thinking I made the right career choice.

I stopped following her on instagram for this reason This is a common thing for people wanting instagram followers do. They post alot of photos, and photos get you followers. But then go delete the photos so that your follower count looks impressive considering you only have 100 photos and it makes you look more popular I guess. (imma instagram user, I know this trick. ) I just looked at her post count and its not even at 200, and she posts like 3 pics a day. Thank you for explanation katch this is the first time I actually read something like this. For me it sounds so illogical - because the more pictures the better! Deleting them should be considered illegal, especially when they´re hot bregje pictures I hope she stops with this kind of thing, I don´t think she needs such attitude. Her fans love her pictures and the more she posts the better. I really like that she posts more about her work now than she used to before - because I consider it a great way to promote herself AND help her fans find new work.

I was SO sure it was VS related, damn. This pic was the reason: Hotel Taïwana St Barth. Work, Work, Work. But you are right, it would have been released already Bregje released absolutely no info about that shoot, not even the name of the photographer (as she usually does). So it´s a pure mystery to me

Curious about her experience? Read her blog now! Lauren: With the second exam week from school just done, I walked fashionweek yesterday for the first time. Two weeks before I went to the casting/fitting, so I had seen quite some looks, but I was still very curious to see which look I would get. When I arrived at the Westergasfabriek around half past two I immediately received a backstage-pas and I chatted with some other girls who walked the show. After 10 minutes I could go straight to the hairdressers to get my hair done. My hair got sprayed wet and done in curlers and to let it dry I had to put my head in some blown-up toilet-seat that blew hot air. That sounds pretty weird, and it actually was haha. After it was a variety between getting my make-up done, chatting, eating, fittings, getting my hair done and rehearsals! The make-up was some type of coral pink with a dark purple crease and some gold, which fit perfectly with the colors of the collection. First I wore a dress that was fully embroidered with beads, but eventually I changed looks with the girl walking in front of me, so I got to wear a short yellow dress with a very big necklace. Everyone had one look, so we could take things slowly and there was barely any stress. All looks were very pretty and the shoes were nice too. Unfortunately we found out that my toenail was growing in, so that resulted in painfull feet in somewhat small heels. Luckily everyone was very kind and helpful and eventually I stepped on the catwalk comfortably. At home I put my feet in a biotex footbath immediately, haha. As a background for the show you could see a rundown city. On either side of the catwalk were huge piles of debris, where we walked in between when we came up. Halfway down the catwalk we had to do a pose, that was assigned to us by Edwin, so there was a nice photo moment and the clothing could be shown in the best position possible. After the show a really nice photos was been made from Josine, who closed the show, together with Edwin like royals surrounded by all models. There were quite a lot of “ex-Fresh” models, so we had to take a selfie together after the show. After I got rid of the thoasands of clips in my hair I got something to drink and chatted a bit and then I took the bus home to rest in my bad, since I had to go to school the next day. I found the theme from the “Return to Home” collection very pretty and the show itself was beautiful to watch. Edwin, his team and everyone who helped with the show can be very proud! Pics:
