With bikini season right around the corner, Victoria's Secret supermodels hit the SLS Hotel in Hollywood this morning to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the swim catalog. And I got Miranda Kerr and Alessandria Ambrosio to spill the deets on how they maintain such amazing bods. "The first step is eating healthy," Miranda told me. "I predominantly eat organic when I can. I eat extremely healthy because when I do, I have more energy." Some of her go-to foods are "spinach, avocado, lots of greens and broccoli." But the Aussie babe does splurge sometimes... "I'm pretty much 80 percent healthy, 20 percent indulgent, because I don't believe in depriving yourself," she said, admitting she sometimes eats french fries. As for her workout routine, she does yoga, Pilates and low resistance weight training. "I also like to go on the stepping machine if I'm a hotel and I can't get outside," she added. Sounds like this busy girl, who's also written a book, doesn't have much free time for summer vacations with boyfriend Orlando Bloom. "I'm hoping that I'll be able to get a few days where I can go somewhere nice, but who knows?" she said. (Questions about the alleged spat she had with Bloom on a recent flight were off limits.) Then again, the V.S. girls did shoot this year's catalog on Necker Island in the Caribbean, so we can't feel too sorry for her. As for model mama Alessandra, she says she won't give up her steak or her sweets. The new bikini-ridden page-turner features VS vets Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio (um, what recent pregnancy?!) and new bombshells Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lindsay Ellingson, Emanuela de Paula, Sports Illustratied cover girl Brooklyn Decker, Candice Swanepoel (who graces the Victoria's Secret Swim Catalogue cover) and a handful of other svelte beauties. Besides the controversial topless bikini, the Summer 2010 swim collection includes string bikinis with fringes and sequin embellishments, one-pieces with creative cutouts, lots of bandeau tops, as well as asymmetrical styles and ruffle detailng carried over from the awards season red carpet. Despite all of the delectable choices, Miranda Kerr revealed to StyleList that she does have her favorites. "I love the traditional triangle bikini or a Brazilian bottom!" she told us in an exclusive chat. "I love the super hot, bright neon colors that Victoria's Secret has this season; they look great on the beach and lounging next to the pool." However, not all of us can carry off a simple triangle bikini like Kerr, which the model understands. "Everyone has different body shapes so it's best to find a swimsuit that flatters your individual shape, " she advises. "For example, if you have a small bust, a halter bikini top with slight padding will look best. Most importantly, with the right attitude and confidence any swimsuit will look good." And the right workout plan. To get toned for her VS Swim shoot, Kerr says she keeps her exercise regime fairly consistent, explaining that it "always involves a mix of yoga, low-impact cardio, resistance and functional exercise, combined with high energy training such as boxing or running." Kerr plans on hitting the surf of her native Australia this summer and tell us that her beach must-haves include "an iPod, sunglasses, water, organic rosehip oil and a great book," along with a killer soundtrack. "I always love a bit of Kings of Leon, Alexi Murdoch, Muzik City, Phoenix," she says. "And you can never go wrong with Dr. Dre!" As readers flip through the Victoria's Secret Swim Catalogue, they might be quick to comment on the thinness of the models, some of whom the industry dubs as "curvy." Kerr herself has received flack for her skinny body in the past, but says she's willing to accept the criticism. "As soon as you step into the public eye you need to take responsibility for the people you are influencing," she says. "Body image is something that the majority of young women struggle with and I do think it is important that models are seen to be healthy and at a weight that works for their body type." some gossip Caught! Orlando & Miranda Fightin' and Flyin' Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr were spotted sitting next to each other on a United flight from Los Angeles to New York very recently. There's no arguing that this is one of the more gorgeous duos struttin' their stuff around both towns, but whether or not their relaysh is on the rocks could be up for debate: A fellow flier up in business class with Miranda and Orlando says the duo were hardly snuggly on the five-hour-plus flight. "They didn't speak to each other the entire way out [to New York]," dishes a slightly confused passenger who was seated next to Orly and his main squeeze. Adds our frequent-flyer eyes: "Once the plane landed, Orlando nudged Miranda to move forward so they could get out and she turned around and screamed at him." Yikes, we were hoping for a totally different "and they couldn't keep their hands off each other" description of the babes in flight. Why so testy, M?
