So all women who are blonde, tall and skinny look the same? Sounds like "each woman with dark hair and light eyes looks like Adriana"... I was portraying the general opinion, not mine. I can differentiate between the gorgeous one and the homely one.What I meant was that VS never quite bothered giving either one of the two a "public identity" unlike Candice who has crossed over to the men's magazine-verse. Lindsay dropped off the face of the Earth right as they were about to launch her as Angel only to pop aup a year later due to a lack of Rosie and Erin seems to have become one of their stars due to a lot of mishaps rather than a great plan (i.e. Lindsay disappearing and Rosie leaving). It's only fairly recently that they have Lindsay as the Gorgeous one and Erin as the Everything Else one. But even then their jobs overlap sometimes (Lindsay has done VSX stuff, Erin has done Gorgeous stuff...) Thus to the general VS profane, they are just "Not-Candice" and people won't bother making the effort to ponder if there's one, two or five of them. ETA Candice and Miranda are launching Swim. I guess Behati was busy.

Because they both started as Angels-ish at about the same time and are both blonde, tall and skinny. And not Candice.

The formerly high fashion ones become commercial and vice versa...

You can definitely (kind of) see the bra in that Lindsay shot. And her feet aren't bad, for feet.

I'm kind of annoyed about the whole Lindsay/Erin thing. Yeah they are blonde and so from a distance you may confuse them, but try that with Asian girls and let's see how it goes... Plus it seems like VS isn't quite targeting the same people with them, they don't do that many campaigns together. Anyways, watching the "live" stream rn and wurke @ Miranda shilling her stuff at a VS thing.

But the thing is VS is quite time consuming and if she didn't leave she probably also wouldn't have had an acting career.

VS's advertising peeps track how much the girls sell, how much people they pull to their openings and so on. If the girls makes them money, she stays. If she doesn't make them enough she leaves. (Or gets redirected, like Chanel towards PINK or Lindsay towards Gorgeous-type lingerie). And it goes both ways, some girls use VS to get fame but do not necessarily want a restrictive contract for years. VS wants to be the first work priority in their Angels' workload. If they schedule a launch during fashion week, the girls must be available and forget runway and so on. So basically Alessandra and Adriana were better fit for VS than Izabel and Selita and were probably also more keen on staying with them. Alessandra and Adriana have the advantage to be who VS's loyal customers "grew up with", like Behati and Chanel will be some day. They arrived when VS really started shooting to fame (the early 2000s) whereas the next Angels arrived when customers already had their favourite "faces" for the brand and were thus seen as a lesser version of them. But some do stay, like Doutzen and Miranda who renewed their contracts (although their workload seems a lot lighter since they did).

If we go further back, Helena, Stephanie and Karen all stopped right after their contracts ended, heck Helena, didn't even walk for the first Angel-featuring fashion show. Laetitia did a What is Sexy commercial two years after her contract expired, Daniela appeared at the launch of the Sexy book after her contract expired, Inés (does she count?) walked a few years after she stopped doing catalog. Chandra North and Yasmeen Ghauri were "one time" Angels, so yeah...

Yeah, I know but still... At this point she's the only Angel besides Doutzen to not be in any of the banners on the site. I guess the Valentine's spotlight couldn't last that long.
