TBH, I think that for Chanel (and for Karlie as well), VS tried to go too fast. They should have left them in PINK a while longer before transitioning them into mainline. Their look clearly didn't fit the mainline products and so they flopped.

She was also a very good spokesmodel.

Blondes have always made up about one third of the line-up: -2 out 5 in the original line-up (Karen & Daniela) -3 ou 10 in 2010 (Doutzen, Candice, Erin) -5 out of 13 nowadays (Candice, Elsa, Stella, Martha, Romee) The most would probably have been mid 2008 with 4 out of 8 (Heidi, Karolina, Marisa & Doutzen). So not really.

This every-6-month thing is so dumb. Admit that it's because you have two collections per year, no because women's body fluctuate. They fluctuate way more often than that, but I doubt it's that significant anyway.
