Miranda did a few shows. She wasn't a huge HF walker but she did put in a decent amount of HF editorial work. Lily Aldridge on the other hand doesn't even have a profile on style.com lol Has she ever walked a runway show? She should really step up her HF game. Imagine if she could walk bluechip shows in Paris, while being a VS angel, while being on the cover of SI. It would be iconic! I don't think any model has ever done all that.

Sarah is suuuuper short (for a model). I think she's around 5'6"? I don't know if it matters to VS, but it will definitely limit Sarah's options in HF.

Unless she does HF first she really doesn't have a chance. VS doesn't go for random "Instagram" models. It's pretty clear that VS picks their models from legitimate, major agencies. After the model has maybe a few seasons in FW then they explore more. Lily Aldridge I think is the only exception in recent times. Behati, Doutzen, Karlie, Candice, Miranda, Lindsay, Erin, Rosie were all high fashion models before VS. I don't know if Sarah Sampaio is gonna be the replacement Adriana. Sarah is really lacking the height tbh. Idk how much height means to VS, but it's definitely worth considering. I still don't understand why VS hasn't gotten Nina Agdal yet. Yes, I say this a lot, but they are clearly stupid for not using her, especially since she just got an SI cover! Plus her body is on the skinnier side which VS prefers, as opposed to most SI models. Plus Nina seems to compliment other girls well, which is a good trait as a spokesmodel. Now the question is, will VS ever go for Kendall Jenner?

Honestly, how is Genevieve Morton a model?... I wasn't familiar with her before this thread, but I googled her and I cannot find one picture where she looks remotely attractive. Yeah she has big tits and curves, but don't you also have to have a somewhat attractive face to be a model? She just looks so..cheap, like a Playboy reject, not an SI model.

^ Probably nothing TBH. She's very avid about having a legitimate HF career. She would have done anything Marc Jacobs told her to do. She isn't shy about showing tits anyway. A mere week after her 18th birthday she posted a picture on her Instagram of an editorial where she is wearing a sheer top, showing her nipples.

I totally agree with this. I love Lily, but the cover does seem to lose prestige when you put a rookie on it, especially for a celebratory issue. It's a bit of a slap in the face for all the other veterans who put it in the years of work. In all honesty, SI should have used this opportunity to give the cover to veteran models who would probably never get a solo cover (Anne V, Chrissy, Cintia, Jessica Gomes, etc). I do not know anything about Chrissy as a person, but I just find her so, so damn unattractive in the face. Maybe that's where the hate comes from.

They should have chosen this shot for the cover!! It would have been so much more iconic/appropriate for the 50th issue with the gold bikinis. Plus I hate how on the current cover Chrissy's bikini bottom is pink. It clashes with the other colors and looks very lazy.

I would say Lily has a strong chance of getting the FB this year. VS has been promoting her so much this past year. If Behati gets married this year, she will get the bra, no question about it. Otherwise, I think it's between Lily and Behati. But then again, Adriana's last FB was in 2010, so she could also be a contender. Edit: I really, really hope Doutzen gets it next year. When is her contract up for renewal? She was signed in 2008, correct? Then resigned in 2011 I would assume, making 2014 her year of renewal.

VS should let/encourage Lais be an SI rookie too. She could really benefit from the exposure. Plus she definitely has the look for it. I'm happy for Marloes too. After unfortunately being rejected (multiple times) for the VSFS, at least she was able to bag SI! Maybe VS will change their minds next year.

^ Let's hope for Cintia.... She #tbt'ed an SI picture last week, so hopefully that's at least a subtle clue. It's up in the air at this point. I'm also disappointed with the lack of diversity. Jasmine Tookes, Lais Ribiero, and/or Shanina would have made awesome choices. I'm sure Lais especially would benefit greatly from becoming an SI model too, she desperately needs a social media push to kick her in line with the other VS angels.

^Oh yeah that's true! Damn I completely forgot about Marisa as a VS angel. That seemed short lived. I think VS is gonna start to become more comfortable with their angels doing SI. I truly wonder if VS encouraged Lily to do SI, or if they were hesitant about it. If Lily's popularity blows up this will be the ultimate example of how doing SI can help VS angels become exponentially more popular. If it works with Lily, who knows, maybe next year they'll send Candice to SI....

I know Izabel and Selita did SI, but they were past angels at the time, right? Now if Edita is in, all will be golden.

^SI rookies don't get covers (usually). She has a chance after she debuts maybe. But tbh there are many SI faves ahead of Lily to get the cover yet (Nina, Anne V, Chrissy, Emily D etc) I'm happy to see an increased crossover in VS/SI models! Lily and Sara can only benefit from this. I wonder how Ed/VS felt about Lily doing SI. It's obvious that VS is super fond of Lily. I wonder if they totally encouraged it, or if it was something Lily had to tread lightly with (just like Doutzen and H&M). Lily's SI status now makes her a huge contender for the FB!
