Simu Liu Simu Liu (Chinese: 刘思慕; DOB: 19 April 1989) is a Canadian actor, born in Harbin, China. He is known for portraying Shang-Chi in the 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. He also played Jung Kim in the CBC Television sitcom Kim's Convenience and a Ken in Barbie. He received nominations at the ACTRA Awards and Canadian Screen Awards for his work in Blood and Water. Honestly, I don't understand why some people are so upset with him dating women who are younger than him. All parties are consensual adults, and no one is/was forced or coerced into anything.

I honestly think VS purposely went to the extreme and over-the-top ridiculous with this whole thing as a “f*ck you” and mockery to those who were criticizing them about their lack of diversity and inclusivity. Don’t get me wrong, I am all for (and actually encourage) inclusivity and diversity but the way VS is approaching this seems suspiciously ironic and satirical. The whole show was disconnect and disjointed. It was like random things were thrown together and boxes were checked haphazardly. Some parts were ok individually but together it was a confusing and incohesive mess.
