Maria has pulled out from the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami as she continues to rehabilitate her right shoulder. She was preparing to play in this year's tournament by playing doubles at Indian Wells. "It felt great to be back on tour last week even if it was just playing doubles," said Maria "I am still not ready to play 7 consecutive matches and will have to withdraw from the Sony Ericsson Open which is one of my favorite tournaments of the year" Maria is not allowing the withdrawal to keep her from her fans. Although she will not be competing for this year's title, she will travel to the Sony Ericsson Open to sign autographs for fans on Thursday, March 26

update from her blog Saturday, March 14, 2009 The Secrets of Models All models have hidden talents that you wouldn't expect them to have. For instance did you know that Caroline Trentini was a good little singer? Starting at the age of 8, she sang. She was so good that they made C.D's of her songs and sold them in the city of Panambi!! Believe it or not I love to draw. I don't have much time for it now. But when I'm watching a movie or I'm on a long telephone call, I find myself drawing on the nearest scrap piece of paper.
