Could you give more information? What is good / bad? What changes would you like to see? The thought process is we have a lot of lurkers, and if they could easily say "thanks" perhaps that is better/lower barrier than having to type out a comment.

I think if you click "leaderboard" on the top of the page, it will show you those types of things. Is that is what you are looking for?

Thanks, you caught an edge case that if you upload an AVIF it doesnt compare it correctly with jpegs/webp. We have backups of everything, including your HQ images, we will restore them automatically. Working on it now.

All major platforms support avif. I assume you are on windows? How to Enable AVIF Support Open the Microsoft Store on your PC. Search for AV1 Video Extension. Click Get or Install to add the codec to your system. Once installed, Windows can view AVIF thumbnails in File Explorer, open files in the native Photos app, and read/edit them in Microsoft Paint.

It will be a permanent thing going forward. So the hidden ones are not random, they are NSFW (according to Google Adsense). Essentailly anything from bikini to full nudity. That is the only way from getting banned from adsense which has happened to us far to many times, which is why we are forced to do this. It will not affect you once you are logged in. No major change log at the moment. I am doing a ton of things behind the scenes that most of you would never notice (unless I break something). I try to work as quickly as possible and with fall back plans, but with a forum as large as ours im bound to miss some edge case which you guys notice. Sorry about that.

We are trying to move to avif. We did webp as a stopgap as the hardware we had could only convert 0.6img/sec to avif. But we now have a pipeline that is significantly faster, so we can actually keep up with the 3000 images/day + 15mil backlog. The quality level is q64 which is higher than the webp settings we had (and equivalent to the orignal jpegs). The size reduction is ~50-70% so its signifcant for our bandwidth and storage costs.

Yes, we had to disable it. The furthur you go, the more load it puts on in the DB until it crashes the whole forum.
