^ yes, that pic is kinda creepy indeed, but they both look stunning, like porcelain dolls, it looks like a triller movie scene...some more pics- Linda Evangelista
 - Pivovarova, Poly, Fontana, Ward, Kuik, Stam, Werbowy, Rocha, Zimmerman
According to who? who decided this unspoken rule? if i want to compare them only by the looks, i will compare them only by the looks, period, without minding about who's more popular, whos less popular, how popular they used to be or anything like that, i know that already but that's not what we were asked to judge! i only know that if i had to imagine Isabeli or Raquel (or also Daria Werbowy, that is my third favorite on the list) sharing the same runway with the likes of Shiffer, Crawford, Evangelista, Campbell, Turlinghton, Christensen, Mulder and so on, they wouldn't look completely out of place like Gemma Ward or Coco Rocha would, plain and simple....the concept is not that articulate nor hard to get And how did they become household names? was it because they were funny and were good to crack a joke!? No, but because of the way they looked, and that's what i was comparing, for by average, 90's supermodels were better looking that today's models, and that's pretty much a fact. Thank you!- Pivovarova, Poly, Fontana, Ward, Kuik, Stam, Werbowy, Rocha, Zimmerman
Walk out on the street and if you're not in a fashion oriented location not a goddamn person will know who Isabeli or Raquel is. While they may be relatively big in the fashion community what set the quote on quote 90's supermodels apart from the rest of the modeling community is that they were household names.. sorry these girls just don't have it, no way no how. Gemma on that list is the ONLY one who may be known in the 'real' worldand that's simply due to her association with Heath Ledger and the alleged contraversy over his death and that association, and the fact that she's been in 2 movies that haven't done horribly, one of which she was one of the main actors, the other one is horror and the fanatics that follow horror just eat that up, regardless if it's good or not. I still don't understand what your answer had to do with anything i previously wrote...i was only saying that Fontana and Zimmerman are to me, out of this list, the 2 closest to the 90's supermodels' standard, but i was clearly talking about their looks, not popularity...everybody know today only Gisele Bundchen can compare to what a small number of models used to be in the 90's, but that was not the point....both Isabeli & Raquel have good healty bodies, something we don't see very often nowadays in modelling world, of corse they're slim, but not like starving skeletric kids, and that's why out of this list they're the ones who come the closest to what 90's supermodels used to be looks wise....i never even mentioned popularity, i never talked about people knowing them on the street or anything like that, and have no idea at why or how you came up with that, and talking about Gemma, as far as i'm concerned she might as well be recognized by the whole wide world, i would still not like her....i kind of like Sasha too though, especially in editorials, but still not crazy about her- Linda Evangelista

 - Helena Christensen
she's born december 25 1968 so she will be 41 this next christmas....she's one of the most stunning girls i've ever seen, many of today's models just wish they would look half as good as she did when she was their age- Isabella Rossellini
You're welcome, i miss seeing those gorgeous women on the 90's runways instead of today's starving kids...Isabella is such a class act, and Gianni Versace was right when i said "Helena Christensen has the most beautiful body in the world", i mean, look at that!!! even Valentino in another youtube video, when speaking about Helena, Carla & Nadja, says how incredibly amazing Helena's body is, the perfect proportions- Georgianna Robertson
she's in this music video together with Eve Salvail, how many memories with this song ...a few scenes from the fashion movie Pret a porter are shown, with fast appearences of Naomi, Linda, Tatjana, Helena, Claudia and others- Georgianna Robertson
she's in this video, Chloe spring-summer 1994 fashion show at 1:12, right before Christy Turlington- Georgianna Robertson
she's always been in the shadow of Naomi, like every other black model of the 90's, like Beverly Peele, Brandy Quinones or Tyra Banks, but Georgianna had the best body out of them- Angie Everhart
she is the ultimate redhead supermodel, and one of the best bodies.... in mid 90's she could have been an amazing Victoria's secret angel, since a redhead was missing in the original lineup of Victoria's angels with Stephanie Seymour, Karen Mulder, Tyra Banks, Helena Christensen & Daniela Pestova- Isabella Rossellini
here's Isabella on the runway in Italy for Dolce & Gabbana, with Monica Bellucci, Karen Mulder, Eva Herzigova, Helena Christensen, Nadja Auermann, Carla Bruni, Yasmeen Ghauri.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQykhiwqAsI- Isabella Rossellini
Isabella with Emma Sjoberg in the sitcom "Friends"- Pivovarova, Poly, Fontana, Ward, Kuik, Stam, Werbowy, Rocha, Zimmerman
Zimmerman & Fontana are in this list the only two who get the closest to the 90's supermodels standard that i love, the other girls just don't stand the comparison looks wise, they can be good in editorials dressed up like christmas trees & with much makeup on, but live that's another story I voted: Isabeli Raquel Isabeli- Emma Sjoberg
and another one with Emma and a couple of other girls i don't know- Emma Sjoberg
^ sorry, i made a mistake...here's the one with Isabella Rossellini- Emma Sjoberg
here Emma is with Isabella Rossellini- Emma Sjoberg
is this model Emma Sjoberg?- Magali Amadei
Magali was one of my first loves when it comes to models...i think she decided to stop modelling when she understood she was going through an eating disorder, right?- Your favorite out of the 5 original supers
yes, interesting indeed well, they actually were renamed big six when Kate stepped into the scene, with her different "waif" looks compared to any other model at the time, but that happened years later.... Kate was kind of leading the second generation of supers, that included Shalom Harlow, Niki Taylor, Amber Valletta, Carolyn Murphy, Brandi Quinones, Bridgett Hall & a few others, started to be all over the place and her name got attached to the big 5 becoming the big 6, but since i'm not much into Kate as a supermodel (she looks very average to me, nothing "super" about her) i'd rather stick to the original lineup...i also believe that being close friend to Naomi, Christy & Linda really helped paving the way for Kate, she had three supers on her side to stand for her- Your favorite out of the 5 original supers
i missed this question....exactly, the more popular they were, the more fashion designers wanted them in their shows & companies wanted them in advertisings the more money they got, and so on...a merry go round that made them the big 5, not necessarily because they were better models than others...i actually think Tatjana could both work a picture and walk the runway better than Claudia, but Claudia was more popular and more used, that's why she belongs to the group instead of Tatjana...as a matter of fact my personal top five supers are Linda Evangelista, Stephanie Seymour, Paulina Porizkova, Helena Christensen & Tatjana Patitz, so it's not that i'm partial to Claudia, even though i do like her, but it's just the way history went - Linda Evangelista
