Biography Nicolas Gino Palladino is a third-generation American/Italian, born in Los Angeles, California. His family moved to Portland, Oregon when he was three years old. Nic had been a competitive athlete from a young age; he never foresaw a career in modeling and fitness. In high school, he participated in five sports, lettering in four of them. Nic continued playing year-round soccer through his junior year. He was one of three freshmen who made the varsity roster as a swing player. During his freshman year he also took an interest in competitive running and racquetball. With encouragement from his soccer coach, Nic recognized that with his strong endurance and stamina as a mid-fielder his success would carry over to running and he joined the school track team. He quickly earned Varsity letters in running and racquetball as well. His first year of running proved successful; it included earning spots on the school record boards in the 800m and 1500m races. By his junior year, Nic developed into an elite mid-distance runner specializing in the 800m and 1500m. He holds an unofficial time of (1:55) in the 800m, making him 6th fastest runner in Oregon. In the 1500m, Nic ran an impressive (4:16.24), which is equivalent to running a 4:30 mile at the age of fifteen. He also ran the 3rd leg on the men’s 4x400 relay with a split of 54-seconds. He quickly fell in love with the sport and was captivated by the continued drive for success and opportunity for self-improvement. To further improve his cardiovascular performance, Nic tried out for sports four and five. Retiring from soccer, he joined the cross-country team and the swim team. He quickly became the third fastest runner on the cross-country team. Nic’s accomplishments in running and academics put him on the radar for college recruitment. During this same time, Nic's modeling career began to develop. Since age sixteen, he had worked mother agency in Portland, but only did small local shoots due to his commitment to an education and running. Then, senior year in high school Nic made the commitment to pursue his career in modeling, sacrificing the opportunities to improve his records on the track and to join a collegiate team. Nic now focused his attention to the gym and on weight training. He knew very little about weightlifting or fitness. He did not have fitness plans nor did he have healthy eating habits. However, after graduating, he began to take his modeling career and fitness much more seriously. Nic still wanted to pursue an education to study nutrition and kinesiology, so he enrolled in college, taking mainly online courses to fit his hectic schedule. In his free time between school, exercise and work, he spent hours each day researching nutrition and watching fitness videos online. By the age of nineteen, he constructed his first diet plan. Prior to starting his fitness regime, he weighed 145lbs/65kg. Today he weighs 185lbs/83kg. He was inspired by the physique of famous fitness icons including Rob Riches and Greg Plitt. He then formed a strict personalized fitness routine based off of the routines he studied. Nic began to give advice to friends and others at his local gym that he intrigued by his own success. Motivated by the encouragement from those around him, he became inspired to help others and share his knowledge of fitness and nutrition. Currently, Nic models throughout the US and abroad, but spends most of his time between Los Angeles, Miami, Portland. He has fallen in love with LA and plans to move their permanently within the coming years. He hopes to one day be able to help those around the world achieve their fitness goals and live a healthy lifestyle. He aspires to start a fitness and active wear clothing brand, and has plans for a YouTube channel in the near future. When Nic is not working, or at the gym, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially his boxer dog Gino. Gino was once a stray that got attacked by another dog during his homeless months as a puppy. Luckily, he received the care he needed and ended up at a shelter where Nic rescued him at just 6 months old. After rescuing Gino and becoming best friends with him, Nic became devoted to alleviating animal neglect and abuse. Nic supports the American Humane Association by donating to them regularly. He also plans to use his social media following and product sales to help him give back to this cause in a major way. You can join Nic on his endeavor to inspire healthy lifestyles by following him on his Facebook: facebook.com/nicpalladino10 and on Instagram: @nic_palladino10. Source: http://www.nicpalladino.com/
