Frank James Lampard, Jr. (born 20 June 1978) is an English football midfielder currently playing for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team. He plays most often as a box-to-box midfielder and has also enjoyed spells in a more advanced attacking midfield role. Lampard is Chelsea's top active goalscorer with 121 goals, the most in club history for a midfielder, and is the second midfielder in Premier League history to score 100 goals, after Matthew Le Tissier. Lampard began his career at West Ham United, his father's former club. Joining the youth team in 1994, he had secured a place in the first team by the 1997â1998 season. He helped the team to their highest ever finishing position Premier League in the 1998â99 season. The following season Lampard scored 14 goals in all competitions from midfield. With progress stagnating at West Ham, he moved to rival London club Chelsea in 2001 for £11 million. From his debut onwards he was ever-present in the Chelsea first team, setting a record 164 consecutive Premier League appearances. He established himself as a prolific scorer at the West London club and won his first major honours in 2005, winning the Premier League and League Cup. Lampard won more club honours under coach Jose Mourinho; the 2005â06 Premier League title and a domestic cup double in 2007. He signed a new contract in 2008, becoming the highest paid Premier League footballer,[3] and scored in his first Champions League Final that same year. Internationally, Lampard gained his first senior England cap in 1999 team and has played in Euro 2004 (scoring three goals in four games), the 2006 World Cup and the Euro 2008 qualifiers. He has two children, Luna and Isla, with Elen Rives. Born in Romford, London, Frank Lampard is the son of Frank Lampard, Sr., a former England fullback and two-time FA Cup winner with West Ham United. His mother, Pat, died of pneumonia on 24 April 2008, and since her death his goal celebration has consisted of pointing to the sky and looking upwards as a tribute.[4] His uncle is Tottenham Hotspur coach Harry Redknapp, and his cousin, Jamie Redknapp, spent twelve seasons with Liverpool and earned 17 caps for England before retiring in 2005. Lampard was educated at Brentwood School, an independent school in Essex, where he was a classmate of television personality Jodie Marsh. He gained an A* in his Latin GCSE.[5], one of the 12 GSCEs he took. I know! oh well, i'm currently watching the re-run and Adam was as awesome as ever! I also liked Alison and Matt, but for some reason, Kris just bores me! he seems so dull.

no! my tv guide said AI was on at 8pm - 9pm, but when I switched over at 9, it was nearly finished! stupid tv guide! so i'll have to wait until saturday to see the re-run...oh well...

man i would sooo love that! we could both be Adam's groupies! lol. thanks so much for posting Adam's AI performance on here so quickly! i must admit, not my favourite song, but i loved the performance all the same! here's a song that Adam actually wrote, which he performed last year at The Zodiac Show, which I think is some kind of show in LA showcasing alternative / rock music talent etc. (if that makes sense! lol) or as Adam calls it: "Glamrock!"

yeah, i can't wait for an official site too!! that'll be awesome...i too wish there was more info on him besides youtube vids, but i did see a really (bad) vid of him there where it showed a lot of pics of him in drag...didnt want to post it here cuz it's nice to chat about his musical career, NOT his personal career as it were....after all, this IS the musican forum!! Kerensa, definitely will see Adam at the Idol live concert in the summer!! i saw last year's too and it was incredible!! i want to get tics to the finale, so hope that'll work out too...i'm only about an hour from Hollywood, so wish me luck lol WOW! That also means you are only about an hour away from Adam's hometown! I would looove to go to the AI tour...if only they were touring the UK too! Yeh I saw those vids on youtube too. I don't really care what he does in his personal life, he's truly a unique talent. And as he has said before in an interview, this is a singing competition, and NOTHING else! Although, I must say, I would love to have a night on the tiles with him, you just know you would have an AMAZING night!

hey coop! thanks for updating those vids! i'm really looking forward to this week's shows, it has now become the highlight of my week! i wish there was more info on adam online, like more about his background. i like how we get to see more about his personality just through his youtube vids, but i can't wait til he gets his own official site, which i am certain will be in the very (very!) near future!

I HAVE NO WORDS.....well, just a few! WOW, what a pure performance. i've never been so breathtaken after watching a contestant, but this blew me away. i never expected this "softer" side of adam to come out, but he still sang it is his own way. as Pink has said before, Adam is set. I like this look too. Very fitting for the performance, but like you Coop, I like me some rugged Adam too! I was working late tonight so i will be watching the whole re-run on Saturday...I've never been so excted for a Saturday before in my life! lol. Thanks for posting the vid Coop, and thanks for your previous PMs Pink! You're both great! Let's make this a great thread for Adam!

does anyone know where i can download adam's AI performances. I really want "I can't get no satisfaction" and "black or white" on my iPod. I looked on the official AI website which says you can download them off iTunes, but only on the US store and i live in England any help?

If anyone reads the comments on his youtube vids, they would see that female fans love him just as much as male fans.

You're very welcome coop! I prefer him without make up though, lol. my fave pic of him is the 4th one in my first post, where he first auditioned. MattLoveModels, i agree, he has an amazong range, i can't wait til he records an album...i'll be the first in line to buy it! you liked ring of fire? i thought the second half was better than the first, but i preferred when he sang Black or White. It's motown week next week i think, so I think it will be another challenge for him, being more of a rock singer. any ideas or suggestions for what he should sing? i'm really intrigued as to what song he'll pick. also, i'm sure everyone has heard/seen the pics of Adam "embracing" another guy. i love how honest he has been on AI and not tried to hide anything. he is who he is and i love that about him. although, have any of you checked out his wikipedia page recently? some more info was recently added that said he is married to a guy named Mike Lowski and they ive together in California...i'm guessing Mike is the guy who was in the pics and who sits in his box in the studio during the shows. i know wikipedia isn't the most reliable source but hey.
