  3. DAILYMAIL: Strike a pose! Doutzen Kroes brings some haute couture to swimwear modelling in a bizarre beach photo shoot When you are a Victoria's Secret Angel posing in barely-there bikinis and lingerie is nothing new. But on Thursday Doutzen Kroes found a way to make a standard swimsuit shoot anything but standard in Miami, Florida. The 30-year-old mother pulled out a series of weird and wacky poses that wore more suited to high fashion couture than a beach. While looking rather silly - and no doubt amusing on lookers - the Dutch born catwalk star still managed to look flawless. The mother of two - Myllena, 7 months, and Phyllon, 4 - was put through her paces by famed fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon. Gilles - who is the ex-husband of both Kelly Bensimon and Elle Macpherson - demanded the model really bring her A game to the long shoot which say her not just do a myriad of poses, but also plenty of quick changes. The 30-year-old started off her day in a black one piece bathing suit, which showed off the model's impressive cleavage. However, while simple from the front the bathing suit featured a Brazilian cut on its bottom - revealing a lot of the model's derriere - with a cut out section across her back. Doutzen wore the swimwear with an unusual crocheted skirt with fringing along the hemline that, thanks to splits at the front and the back, looked like a pair of pants. The ensemble proved the perfect accompaniment to the model's poses which, under the direction of Gilles, saw her leap and flex her muscles on the shoreline. As she kicked her legs up and spun around, the blonde looked as though she was performing a Capoeira workout. Despite the very physical photo session, Doutzen did not have long to catch her breath as she had to quickly change. For her second ensemble, the Angel wore another black one piece that this time featured a plunging halter neckline. The model had to be a bit more careful with her poses this time around as the swimwear's design made a wardrobe malfunction a very real possibility. Giving the look a very Eighties feel, the model wore a sheer black structured hooded bomber jacket over the top that cinched in at the waist. First posing on the sand in a rather contorted way, just how good shape the mom was in was highly evident with the muscles in her legs clearly defined. After a few shots on the beach, the style star took a plunge into the blue Mimi waters, frolicking in the shore break and somehow managing to not only stay standing up, but kept her face close up ready. After her splish splash, it was time again for yet another outfit. This time she hit the water in a one shouldered swimsuit over which she wore leather pants. Ensuring the no doubt expensive sample was never going back to the designer, the 30-year-old wore the slightly rolled down pants in the ocean for yet another round of pictures. Fortunately for Doutzen while she had to make a lot of changes, she did not have to endure multiple visits to the makeup trailer. Throughout the shoot the model's look was kept the same, with her hair styled on an unusual updo that consisted of her hair being slicked up into a high bun and the end of her locks being pushed forward to create what looked like a bleached fringe. The hair 'do was capped off with a bright yellow bandanna around her bun. While Doutzen's poses were impressive enough, the fact she was in such good shape just seven months after giving birth was even more impressive. Speaking to Harper's Bazaar she said her genetics and her commitment to fitness prior to the baby is really what helped. She told the magazine: 'It's a mix of genetics that I got from my mom and eating healthy and being active all my life. I've always worked out and I'm young...' 'It's the work you put in before that's more important. 'Sometimes when I pose for pictures, people say it's impossible that I have a flat stomach without working out like crazy and having a personal trainer and sometimes they get mad at me, and I find that hard because I think there's a lot of women who have the same thing happening to them because they lived a healthy, active lifestyle. 'You only hear the horror stories - that after a baby you never get your body back - but it's not true, it depends on your life beforehand.' dailymail.co.uk

  6. Thanks! Great U r right because they are walking on the same route to the beach! But I really hope they fix her eyebrows before they were shooting ------------------------------ doutzen The salon today.... & Rudi Lewis Hairdresser Instagram
  7. Great but how do you know that? Toooo bad he never shoot a cover for Vogue Paris
  8. That shoot on the beach must be for H&M by Lachlan Bailey because he is shooting on the same location it seems
  9. I want to join them
  10. Some pics could have been a Cavalli campaign But I dislike the cover pic mostly because of the very heavy make up on the eyebrows the make up is on the skin and eyebrows, instead of just on the eyebrows Mo is just not a prof. hair/make up stylist or whatever he think he is...Sometimes I ask myself if he has poop in his eyes because his work is often soo bad/carelessly Hopefully he will follow some courses in the summer holidays -------------------------- doutzen instagram Good morning selfie She is shooting something on the beach Instagram video http://instagram.com/p/y-Q8R8TVFA/ The heavy make-up on the eyebrows again turn me off It does not look natural at all..nobody goes to the beach with heavy dark makeup on the eyebrows So curious what kind of beachshoot this is Perhaps more photos for the H&M summer campaign? But hopefully this is for June/July Vogue Paris because those are my fav Vogue Paris covers
  11. Doutzen is 30 (since 3 weeks) Carolyn Murphy did the cover for SI at age 30 2 New shots in this Calvin Klein Reveal for men commercial at 0:13 & 0:23 OnlyLaughingAllowed
  12. She would fit perfectly for SI ... banging body & a face like a precious diamond (Just like Linda Evangelista said about Doutzen) but I only want to see her for SI if she gets the cover It would be a flawless/striking SI cover Finally a epic cover again for SI hahaah
  13. Probably only if she gets the SI cover but I think SI always choose the covermodel when all the shoots with all the models are a wrap I dont think a major topmodel would take the risk shooting for SI and ending up inside the magazine instead of on that SI cover I am sure she would say YES if they would ask her for the SI cover ------------------------- Weekendbladparty February 10 2015

  19. Supermodel Doutzen Kroes’s Sexy Serenity This month’s cover star, Doutzen Kroes, slips into some relaxed looks that emphasize her natural allure. WSJ.com WHEN DOUTZEN KROES landed in New York City in 2003 from her native Eastermar, Holland—population 1,600—with ambitions of becoming a model, she quickly realized she was out of her league. Not only was the urban terrain a struggle for her (Kroes, then 18, had been to Amsterdam only once and had never even taken a tram, let alone the A train), but the 5-foot-9 blonde was repeatedly rejected on casting calls for being “too pretty,” which apparently distracted from the fashion on show. Kroes remembers, “It was strange: I thought, isn’t [being attractive] how it’s supposed to be?” Fast-forward to 2014, when she was named the second-highest-paid model in the world by Forbes magazine—surpassed only by Gisele Bündchen. It’s an achievement due in part to her longtime contract with L’Oréal Paris, for which she has appeared in television commercials and walked the Cannes red carpet. Kroes’s face has also been featured in countless ads, including for Tiffany & Co., Dolce & Gabbana and two Calvin Klein fragrances. And in 2008 she underwent a rite of passage—receiving her wings, or in layman’s terms, an invitation to become a Victoria’s Secret “angel,” which has resulted in its own hybrid of commercial and editorial stardom. Now, less than a year after the birth of her daughter, Myllena Mae (joining her 4-year-old son, Phyllon), with her DJ husband, Sunnery James, Kroes stars on WSJ. Magazine’s spring fashion cover. Here, Kroes, who recently turned 30, reflects on the Dutch secret to her success, balancing modeling with motherhood and what’s next. WSJ: Did you always want to be a model? Doutzen Kroes: I wanted to become a teacher like my mother, or a charity worker. But my mom says that when I was younger I told her, “People are going to know me,” so I guess I always had that idea. We didn’t have fashion magazines around the house, so I would see someone like Jennifer Lopez’s CD covers and think, “I would love to have hair or makeup like that.” I secretly sent my pictures to a modeling agency in Amsterdam, and they sent me to New York. WSJ: What was that like? DK: I lived in an apartment for models in the Meatpacking District, which back then was a place filled with all sorts of people that you couldn’t even look in the eye. I wasn’t booking jobs, and I was very lonely. There’s a Dutch saying that my mother had always told me: “You’re not made out of salt,” so being tough and very disciplined helped. The success that people see now took a long time to achieve. WSJ: What would you say was the turning point of your career? DK: My 2005 cover shoot with Steven Meisel for Italian Vogue. When that issue came out, everything changed. All of a sudden everyone wanted to work with me. Meisel is the godfather of fashion and photography. It opened up my eyes to how the industry works—it’s very important to do editorial. And then signing as a Victoria’s Secret angel opened so many doors. WSJ: You recently walked in your eighth Victoria’s Secret show, soon after the birth of your daughter. Did you feel pressure to get back into shape quickly? DK: Yes, but I had had a good experience with my first child, so I knew it would be OK. I work out, and I’m always conscious about what I put in my body—not for looks, but because I want to be healthy. I do a workout called Ballet Beautiful with [trainer] Mary Helen Bowers three times a week, and every day right before a show. It’s changed my body, and you don’t even sweat during the workout. Who wouldn’t want that? WSJ: You and your husband both travel frequently. How do you balance everything? DK: A lot of communication. Our agents are on the phone every other day. They’re the ones who keep us together. WSJ: You also travel as a spokesperson for the charity Dance4Life. DK: Yes, I’ve been all over the world with them. They teach young people how to protect themselves against HIV/AIDS in a positive way, through dance and music. I was in Tanzania, for example, and I hugged a young boy with HIV. Over there it’s a big deal to even talk to people who are infected. I realized it’s amazing what a small gesture can do. WSJ: Do you have a plan for the next 10 years? DK: I have no idea! Ten years ago, I had no idea I’d be here. Maybe I’ll do movies—I dream of working with particular directors—or maybe I’ll just live someplace quiet where I can grow my own vegetables. WSJ: And how long do you think you’ll stay with Victoria’s Secret? DK: Time will tell, but as they say, “Once an angel, always an angel.”

  22. She can act but I am not sure if she can handle Paul Verhoeven as director Paul is not a easy guy to work with Would not surprise me if she runs away crying if she hopefully someday works with him She is not the type that can withstand criticism Criticism can make you stronger or break
  23. It's been long time since he made something worldwide Last big production was the movie Black Book in Holland (self-writen) in 2006 ... very good /very succesfull in whole Europe with lots of nominations worldwide He is a great director and made iconic movies: His International Movie List: RoboCop 1987 Total Recall 1990 Basic Instinct 1992 Showgirls 1995 Starship Troopers 1997 Hollow Man 2000 Black Book 2006 Showgirls ruined his Hollywood carreer People said it was the worst movie ever made... Called Paul Verhoeven a Alien because he was not American and he showed Las Vegas as a city about sex (instead of a city for children ),Americans as manipulative people & they said: Paul Verhoeven put America to shame! Because nobody went to the cinema the movie company Carolco went almost bankruptcy (Carolco went bankrupty in 1997 because of the movie Cultthroat Island budget 115million but only made 10million at the boxoffice. Cultthroat Island is in the Guinness Book of World Records for biggest box office flop of all time) but now 20years later Showgirls is getting respect worldwide & people say it's not a bad movie at all IN FACT: Showgirls is one of the biggest moneymakers for company MGM. Showgirls is in their top 20 of best selling movies of all time Doutzen should do audition for Crusade... It will be BIG
  24. Doutzen always says she wants to act She should audition for Crusade!!! The legendary director Paul Verhoeven (76) works again on Crusade (self-written), also known in Hollywood as 'the best script that was never filmed'. Would love to see Doutzen & Paul Verhoeven work together because he is my fav movie director! The perfect opportunity for her .. also because this might be his last time as director Doutzen already told him that she would like to work with him when she met him
