This is just as I expected ... H&M catalog low quality photoshoot and totally uninteresting. Snaps by Vogue28 member from TFS Doutzen always delivers good work when she works with photographers who bring out the best in her, such as Steven Meisel, Mert & Marcus, Luigi & Iango. Those three always ensure that Doutzen delivers in combination with great photography. I have the impression that other photographers do not give Doutzen any instructions, and as a result, she always shows the same monotonous facial expression. A surprised/vulnerable look with an open mouth. It's not interesting to look at... especially when the photography, light, hair and makeup is plain boring/bad. (the styling is actually fine)

1 advantage is that everyone in the fashion industry wants to have this magazine, so they can all see that Doutzen is available again. But come on, after 4 years, she's back with a 6 page spread shared with another model. Very weak and disappointing.

A few hours ago, I found out that it was impossible for Doutzen to be photographed for the group shot for the March edition of British Vogue, shot by Steven Meisel, because only former cover stars from recent years, when Edward was the editor in chief, were given the opportunity to be on this group shot cover ... and some even skipped like Gisele (other priorities). That makes the sadness disappear a lil bit.

The March 2024 cover of Vogue UK, photographed by Steven Meisel, features almost 50 different people, but ... there is no spot left for Doutzen. I don't have high expectations for an impressive comeback anymore.

For me, the ultimate comeback would be Vogue UK March cover by Steven Meisel. It will be the last Vogue UK issue by Edward E. Edward also styled the very first Vogue cover of Doutzen (Vogue Italia Feb. 2005 photographed by Steven Meisel). It launched her career. Doutzen had been in the industry for 20 years by 2023. When she had been in the business for 10 years, she was photographed by Steven Meisel for the September cover of Italian Vogue. In September/October 2023, Doutzen was networking in Paris during fashion week and attended a party of Mert Atlas where Edward was also present. A few hours after the party, Doutzen posted a hint about a comeback in her Insta Stories "so I socialized this weekend..me the next 3 months with picture where she was busy gardening". This meant that she will be working as a model again in 2024. How perfect would it be to celebrate 20 years in the industry with a comeback made by Steven Meisel and Edward?! And it would be amazing if it's combined with an exclusive A-list show (opening or closing). Shoots by Steven Meisel are always top secret. And Doutzen is doing something secret it seems ..... so my expectations are very high... perhaps too high. Also because in 2013 Doutzen was supposed to be on the cover of Vogue UK January issue, but was cancelled last minute and replaced by the then new "it girl" Kate Upton. The first plus size model everyone suddenly started talking about after she appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue in November 2012. The photoshoot with Doutzen only became an editorial instead of a cover + editorial. After that sudden last minute switch/ditch, Doutzen never worked for British Vogue again. So, if she ever works for British Vogue again, it will probably only be if she gets the opportunity to be on that cover. And that is understandable. If Doutzen makes her comeback by appearing on the cover of the Dutch Vogue, that would be very lame and no reason to be secret about it. Doutzen getting booked/photographed by Steven Meisel or Mert & Marcus in 2023 for Vogue UK March 2024 issue would be the perfect comeback. It would be a great way to celebrate her 20-year milestone in the industry and a nod to her iconic status as a model.

There is still no information about how she is making her comeback, but we do know that it will be SOON. My guess: * Fashion Week starts this Friday in New York. She may make appearance(s) in New York, Milan, or Paris. * She might have scored a big magazine cover for the March issue (releasing this month). Models always make a comeback during a fashion show or with an important cover ... or both. She has been mysteriously quiet since she is available to book again in November (and new polaroids were released in November as well), so it's likely a secret and prestigious.

1 & 4 = Doutzen. That Dolce & Gab. campaign looks fantastic in HQ but in these low resolution pictures it looks pretty boring. I wonder why she is so quiet on social media while she used to be very active and shared everything. There is still no update from her about returning as a model and there is still no interview/news/updates after the new polaroids on models.com. I suspect that either something big is coming or that the comeback is minor and doesn't mean much. Maybe she will make a statement on her birthday next week, or she may wait until her new work is published.

Instagram Jetteke van Lexmond (yesterday) It reminds me of her Vogue USA & Italia (Vogue Portugal is reprint from Vogue USA editorial) photographs from 2005, taken by Meisel, with her wearing similar hats.

On Dutch social media channels, there are rumors spreading about Sunnery's long-term affair with escorts, threesomes, and more, sometimes with evidence such as phone conversation. But personally I think Doutzen and Sunnery may have an open relationship because otherwise she would have been divorced a long time ago (they are not married in community of property, so he cannot financially ruin her if they divorce). Doutzen probably don't give a damn about him cheating. And her sisters husband is also a cheater. The husband of Doutzen's sister (Rens Kroes) has been sentenced to 2 years in prison for rape and death threats. The brother-in-law has appealed, and the appeal is scheduled for some time in 2024. Rens and her husband are together for 15 years and married 3 years ago. Rens' husband allegedly grabbed a woman by the throat in Amsterdam on September 9, 2016, and forced her to perform oral sex and have intercourse with him. He reportedly said things like 'I'll break your neck if you move', 'I seriously will murder you', and 'I want to go deep inside you'.

Doutzen was 34 or 35 at the time when she suddenly stopped working because of Corona and she is still too young to retire and do nothing. It gets boring! Plus, her children are older now, with one even in high school, so it makes sense that she's ready to return to work and see all her (old) friends again. She's still able to work because she is a timeless + natural beauty. I'm really curious to see what opportunities come her way in 2024. Hopefully she'll have some exciting projects lined up! She looks ready to make a comeback.

I think Doutzen was in Mexico a (few) week(s) ago together with Jetteke van Lexmond. I saw it on Jetteke's Instagram stories. They were in some kind of spa, and Doutzen was seen in the photos. This trip took place after their big trip to the Maldives (I believe it was the Maldives). It didn't seem like they were in Mexico for work. Perhaps she is having a facial peel, or she might already be working on projects for 2024, or it could simply be that she is not active on Instagram. I hope she is getting a facial peel or is busy with work.😋

Perhaps she is actually getting the majority of her jobs through DNAmodels. It would not be wise to leave agencies that are providing her with good work. However, it is also possible that DNA is primarily or solely focused on securing high-paying jobs. I'm not very happy with these digitals ... they look okay. After a very very very long break, she still looks a bit lifeless in her eyes in these digitals and her pupils don't look normal/round. Her pupils one these pictures are very small and not round! Hopefully just bad photography/light.

Hopefully, that means she is already working on things that we don't know about yet, and we can expect to see her new work in early 2024, possibly even as early as January!! If she really starts working in January, it will take months before it is released.

No, I just want to see her go back to working with L'Oréal and getting TV commercials instead of doing boring print work for beauty campaigns like Chanel, Dior, etc.

That's great. I would like her to return to L'Oréal in 2024 and repair her friendship with Inez and Vinoodh. Eventually, I hope she gets the opportunity to collaborate with Dutch photographer Carlijn Jacobs!!! Love her photography 🩵

I am not sure about her making a runway debut tomorrow, but I feel confident that she will make a remarkable comeback in 2024 based on this message I came across on her Instagram stories. She probably did some networking in Paris to explore the possibilities of making a comeback. Unfortunately, there (probably) won't be a 20th anniversary comeback in 2023. However, it's exciting to read that she is likely making a comeback in January 2024.

She's in Paris right now. With Mo Karadag (he is probably her manager right now after Sarah passed away/he took over the Agency and changed the name of Paparazzi Models to Platform Agency) It's her 20th Anniversary as model. Something needs to happen.

Recently I got some hope to see her return and make a comeback soon Now I see this ... and my hope is gone (again) Something is wrong in her head and I refuse to believe she is happy ... I just watched Shownieuws few minutes ago on Dutch television. They talked about the Victoria's Secret Icon collection with models Gisele, Naomi, Candice. They also called Doutzen's manager and asked why Doutzen is not present in this VS campaign with other former VS Angels. Her manager told Shownieuws: Doutzen is still having a sabbatical right now. The people at Shownieuws wondered why Doutzen is still having a sabbatical right now while she walked the Alaïa show in 2022. ------------------- I think it's just a matter of time before she's coming back to be honest. When she is ready and/if people in the industry (casting directors, etc.) are ready.
