You are welcome Ann07. Just take a look at these covers and you will see almost four different girls. I adore this quality in a model. She has to be versatile. She shouldn't show you the same face year after year. Linda Evangelista and Tatjana Patitz have chameleon-like faces. This is very rare.

I don't know anything about her except that she is very beautiful. She appeared in lots of ads and on magazine covers from the late seventies till the late eighties. I think most people will remember her as the woman president in Donna Karan advertisements. I had a large collection of her pictures but now I can't find them. I remember that she was an American. Hello Miss. I am terribly sorry tohear that you have lost your treasure of pictures in a fire. I understand how you must have had felt back then, because I sometimes think what would I save in a fire ( of course if I have time to cchoose) and probably I would save my archive of pictures rather than othe rthings such as books or cds. Well, I am finally back from holiday. Since I am a teacher I have longer holidays than other people have. I read what you have written about supermodels. I think we are of the same age. I am 40 and I have witnessed the rise and fall of the original supermodels and it is not easy for me to replace them. I was browsing the ebay (but I have never bought anything on ebay due to financial reasons) and I came across some very beautiful Annette pictures. I don't know if you have them. You can see the magazine on ebay and you can bid on it. I wish you best luck in bidding. Here are the pictures.

Christie is great. I remember other models of the same decade: Kelly Emberg and Kim Alexis. I think you'll remember them too. Kelly pictures first. Now Kim Alexis pictures. And the best for the last: The girl on the left is Anette I think. It is an advertisement from Cosmopolitan 1981 December. I was looking around in ebay for magazines and I saw this picture. I hope you like it.
Dear Jennka, I can't help but agree with you after thinking again. The versatility is important. Anyone can find what he or she wants. But I don't think I have seen Marisa Miller. I wonder what she is like. I will search on the internet. I think Jessica Stam is too perfect to be human... that profile...that nose. Lily Cole reminds me one of my students. She has a gaze that tells you to stay away. She wants to be away from everyone. She has a hard look. But there is something in some of her pictures which makes me, kind of want, to protect her.This is the pic I am talking about. Among the new models I also find Ruslana KOrshunova interesting.

Yes they were more womanly, more real. They had meaningful gazes. Today's models(most of them) have a vacant look, they look as if they are very tired of the world and the life itself. I think this shouldn't be what a "model" projects. She should send out messages about a positive outlook about life. She should give you a reason to look at her pictures. In one of his songs Billy Joel says something like "one look at her face and I can face the world again". We can guess who was he talking about. Can anyone take a look at, say, Gemma Ward or some other model like her, and be filled with a power to face the world again? I can't help but wonder who decides what models should look like in a decade or so?
