Photographed by Arthur Elgort in 1989. The story of this shoot: 'Christy and Linda lived in the same building across the street from my studio on Grand Street in New York, so they were really close. On the day of this shoot it was supposed to be just Christy, but my wife had our baby that day so I had to go to the hospital. I said to Christy, ‘Can you get Linda so we can just finish this off?’ She did and they were both terrific.' More from the shoot
