it seems gisele, kate, and christy turlington are most mentioned among other models. and alot of american models always mention cindy crawford. so naomi,claudia,christy,elle,kathy,rosie,doutzen,candice,karlie,ana bb,ale,raquel have all said nice things about gi anyone else? i want to know what my other faves linda and cindy think lol. (or maybe not if they havent mentioned her by now lol)

yep thats right ^ kate has 8, gisele 11. shes still behind cindy, claudia,amber valetta and some very old school models though. doubt she can ever beat them since they were gettin their covers when celebs werent taking them all. haha. i think gi gets 1 american vogue cover every two to three years so she is due for one in 2013. im dying for another model issue with gi front and center with some classics and up and comers/anna faves. lol

lol kat i agree. in general terms im sure many models would love a vogue paris cover,versace,versace jeans,givenchy,ferragamo,and david yurman all in one year haha. but covers has always been giseles main thing cant believe she had so few. only 3 vogue covers this year. i think thats the lowest amount since 2003 when she only had 1. she always has four or more each year. i wonder how long it will take for her to shoot again this time. we were spoiled last time since her colcci contract said she had to be ready after one month. sick: want interview so bad! and w mag. this is petty but she hasnt had a w cover with their new logo and that bothers me lol. funny enough i dont care about vogue cuz i kinda expect it. especially brazilian...i know her relationship with them but her last two shoots with them are some of her weakest eds ever ugh. id rather her save her epic ness for something more epic haha.

guys you know i love gi and i do appreciate her career showing growth from her sex symbol teens/20s to her business woman 30s,lol which it should but i will always miss gi's glory days. dont get me wrong she is my overall #1 for a reason and i think she is awe-mazing still and i have loved plenty of her recent work but i think i will always get nostalgic. also her last runway apperances i even didnt feel that spark in her walk like i used to. although i think it has something to do with the shows shes choosing. balenciaga,givenchy,and wang do not require sexy walks... i think italian and the sportier american houses is where her walk always shined most. she needs to do versace, dolce, gucci, cavalli. lol. i dont think we will see her much for spring/summer 2013 bc most was shot this past month but i hope she is ready by spring to shoot fall/winter stuff. i was pleased with her last comeback so hope she will not disappoint this time around. american vogue cover would be cliche but you wont see me complain.

im already anticipating her comeback lol. i know she is a family woman and all but the selfish fan in me can never get enough. lol. and is it just me or do her eds now days seem so short? like only 6-8 pages. i remember they at least used to be 10+ pages. sorry to say i miss gi pre 2009. in her eds now they seem cliche and all about her the person, not her the model...i know its not her fault but i do get bored now with that route... i want her to kill it again. 2007 was her last "wow" year for me. i like linda evangelista and kate moss way of doing things tbh. linda just said she prefers no mag interviews. just beautiful fashion pictures. and i love that. it leaves some mystique. sorry girls for rant lol.

aww another christmas baby. looks like tom and gisele quite enjoy their post football season vacations in costa rica. she either looked so big in the belly because shes so tall and slim everywhere else or twins. i cant really measure how she was the first time bc i dont recall her being photographed past september. she seemed to stay holed up in boston the first time.

i usually do a year in review for her. well she definitely had a way bigger list her first pregnancy. (vanity fair,harpers bazaar,vogue india september issue,numero,versace spring,versace fall,dior,loewe,true religion,etc...). she had one of the slowest cover/editorial years since 2003 but one of the best campaign seasons in yearsss! actually her best campaign season since 03. she far surpassed my campaign expectations this past year. its funny how kate moss and gi flip jobs. anyone else notice this? when kate is taking a break gi does all the big covers and vice versa. at least it seems so to me. now i understand the "ugh not her again comments" when gi is everywhere cuz thats how i feel about kate. shes my least fave 90s model looks/lifestyle wise lol but cant hate bc everyone loves working with her and she is an amazing model. where on earth is claudia,linda,naomi,stephanie,christy though? ugh. they must not be as much of a workaholic as moss is. what a pity.

sick i saw u post in news and thought she had her baby! haha... nice news about her lingerie thanks! i saw models in vogue brazil wearing her lingerie in editorials, thought that was cool. supposedly her lingerie will make her an extra $20 mill a year. get that money honey.

do you guys think she had her baby? shes not updated her fb for a while and her twitter seems quite dead too. hehe. tom said she was due at the end of the month so if not yet, then very soon! hoping for a girl just to see tom inter acting with a baby girl would be too cute. and we need a fashion heiress lol.

maybe its a special holiday camp? or something special. i think there is an eco line coming. gisele would be perfect to promote that. i doubt anyone in their right mind would cancel la gisele! haha. gisele flew to paris just to shoot it with testino. it sounded like a pretty big thing. shooting 2 days outside and inside a famous parisien hotel. thats a lot of money to waste and im sure gisele would be pissed...i def dont think thats the case though.

really track? kathy ireland has a billion dollar house ware empire and cindy crawford has furniture lines and her skin care line and elle macpherson has her successful lingerie line and then of course tyra and heidi are tv moguls. but what does make gisele's case a little more extrodinary imo, is her age at which she accomplished all this and the fact she still gets a list modeling gigs on the side. shes had her sandals line since 2001/2002 at only age 21 and still balanced her modeling career. kathy is in her late 40s or 50s and hasnt modeled in years. cindy still models but she doesnt really do anything a list anymore. tyra doesnt model anymore and heidi is more of a celeb than model. so with all that considered gisele does kill it. shes only 32 i cant even imagine her success at their ages lol. but i would like to see a forbes list with the "retired" models. i think kathy would be first gisele second cindy third etc.

like seeing her in company with oprah. i wish these lists would mention her real estate investing more. its not just her modeling and brands...shes been buying fixing and selling property around the world for years. wish she would talk more about her endeavours ala tyra and heidi bc shes so behind the scenes some ppl act surprised she is so rich and assume its just from posing. hey sick do you know if the brazilian article about gisele turning modeling jobs down with benjamin was posted? its not new or anything but would like to find the article again.

thanks as always sick! love the fashionista quote from testino. and gisele sounds damn hilarious. i can just imagine her facial expressions when explaining herself. she always said only testino can make her do what she normally wouldnt do. it makes me miss her doing american talk shows. she used to be able to charm ppl with her live self. now ppl only get her interviews which come off as too black and white. she really took a back seat since shes been with tom imo. her last one was live with regis and kelly in 2008. maybe she is over the prying relationship questions those interviewers love to ask but i do miss seeing her. i dont want her to do late night comedy shows anymore but would love to see her do more serious ones like katie courics new show,piers morgan, or oprahs next big chapter.

i looked on her web and i think it means that they just have an exclusive interview by glenda bailey talking about gisele. the part about the two covers was probably just an exerpt of what glenda says. (hope we get a translation!)and gi did indeed have the two covers in 04. or maybe shes talking about her 2002 covers in the red dress. it came with a closeup full body and a back cover with the back of gis head. would love to be wrong though and gi be on more covers haha. those translations can be so confusing. gisele did/does something right to have every major magazine editor,photographer,designer,stylist etc to sing her praises and want to work with her year after year.

finally this shoot! love it. its so gisele. better than her first spread for them. love how her work with terry is never vulgar. good she has limits! lol. she makes simple studio shoots come to life. amazing. and she looks really beautiful. love bombshell gisele more than boho earthmother edgy gisele anyday. it just works.

haha thanks sick. wierd after i said there were new testino quotes,the press posts this one which is old news. mario has been telling this story for ages now..yes he played a big role but so did alexander mcqueen and anna wintour. the quotes i found i think were from fashionista or wwd. he says something like her photos are so perfect when he goes to edit them he finds nothing wrong and he loves shooting her and kate bc of their big personalities or something like that. will try and find when i get back. it may be hard to find since theres so many gisele/testino posts on the net.

aw want d&g again too. they helped make her career and she had every single campaign from 1998-2003. i think like 10 campaigns in a row. must be some kind of record. it was a fashion match made in heaven. i remember fashion world called gisele fat at her last show for them in 2006 which is absurd bc that is my all time fave year of hers, looks wise. she is one of the few who actually looks prettier when thicker imo. even non gi fans have admitted gi was the last amazing d&g model. and i cant believe they went from steven meisel to giampoulo sgura. u can tell. they went from luxury campaigns to catalog looking budget imo. gisele +meisel is much needed again.

ah forgot to add (even if it probably wont happen) is a shoot with tom and gisele together finally! not tabloid of course but for w mag ala brad and angelina. although a little superstitious about models and their celeb in a photoshoot together since just about every 90s model who posed with her bf/hubby ended up not together. (cindy and richard,stephanie and axl,linda and kyle,christy and christian,christie and billy,heidi and seal. etc) yikes maybe not such a good idea. but i am dying for her to shoot with another iconic model! particularly linda,stephanie,naomi,kate in a campaign or cover together. fashion has gotten so boring to me. the major models only seem to do solo work. in the 90s it was such an epic supermodel movement when they were doing all the shows campaigns and editorials together. really miss that. there used to only be like 20 top models who did everything. now there are hundreds. ok will stop my nostalgia now lol.

indeed she has one unique, all over the place advertising portfolio. lol. but i think shes not just randomly modeling white strips. its more and likely just another contract for her. all her contracts are commercially based. pantene,c&a,sky tv,esprit, etc. thats what pays the big bucks. now her fashion jobs seem random to me. you never know which brand chooses her next. (aside from regulars like versace ) although that came out of no where tbh. she hasnt walked a show since 2001 season or had a campaign since 2008. i was pleasantly surprised. guess being one of donnatellas all time faves doesnt hurt either. i think she even said when she saw the collection the only model she had in mind was gisele. how sweet is that? i swear gisele is part heidi klum (extremely commercial) and part kate moss.
